[00:00:00] Thank you. [00:00:30] Thank you. [00:01:00] Your fire question is coming away. [00:01:02] You'll be all right. [00:01:04] I'm just waiting for Tomas to show up. [00:01:08] He said he was at Palm Beach or something. [00:01:13] Yeah, he's back. [00:01:14] It's just us so far, right? [00:01:15] Yeah, just two of us. [00:01:17] I mean, he has the ability to go in and set things up. [00:01:23] But he does that. [00:01:24] Yeah, it's all kinds of stuff. [00:01:26] Let me just tell him. [00:01:29] The room is open. [00:01:30] The room is open with Tim. [00:01:38] Tim and I. [00:01:40] Let me see that. [00:01:41] Oh. [00:01:42] Yeah, there you go. [00:01:43] Yeah, no, it's good. [00:01:46] Some other, you know, Zero Day got announced today. [00:01:51] Spring Shell or something. [00:01:53] Did you see that? [00:01:55] Huh? [00:01:58] It's called Spring Shell. [00:02:01] Vulnerability. [00:02:02] You know, they had remote code execution. [00:02:04] Crap. [00:02:07] Shut up. [00:02:08] Spring Shell. [00:02:08] Nobody's going to ask you about that. [00:02:12] Don't worry. [00:02:16] They do. [00:02:16] They do. [00:02:17] I make a good run. [00:02:22] Oh, no. [00:02:23] I can't do that. [00:02:24] Of course. [00:02:24] Spring Shell. [00:02:26] Yeah, there's all kinds of stuff you can do with this room now. [00:02:31] It's called Tim Omo. [00:02:34] It's, yeah, usually, you know, people start trickling in because there's a, another, [00:02:38] uh, [00:02:39] room that goes on before this, which a lot of people go to. [00:02:44] What, ask the CISO anything? [00:02:47] Yeah, that or the good, bad, and ugly or some similar, you know, concept with Tom Ryan. [00:02:54] He does that. [00:02:57] He runs that. [00:02:58] It's more about, you know, vulnerabilities and security and not the way we approach things. [00:03:06] But, but it's all good, you know. [00:03:11] Have you been local or you've been traveling yourself? [00:03:16] Pretty local. [00:03:17] Um, these days. [00:03:19] I mean, I think I'll probably head out to the UK in like a week and a half or two. [00:03:24] Oh yeah. [00:03:27] Oh yeah. [00:03:28] Uh, [00:03:28] uh, [00:03:29] were others in the room and then left. [00:03:33] Yeah. [00:03:33] Uh, people come and go and then they'll. [00:03:35] Oh, yeah. [00:03:35] Yeah. [00:03:36] Yeah. [00:03:36] Yeah. [00:03:37] They can hear everything. [00:03:39] I'm jumping on. [00:03:40] Yes. [00:03:41] Yeah. [00:03:41] It's been a couple of weeks. [00:03:42] Yeah. [00:03:43] Yeah. [00:03:44] They don't, they can hear. [00:03:45] So once it starts, then they, um, they can, um, and what you do is you just simply, uh, [00:03:55] yeah, they are, they are muted and people who are moderating are able to talk, but everybody [00:04:01] hears. [00:04:02] It's not like, um, presenter mode where only the presenters are, can hear each other. [00:04:09] It's a little, uh, different to keep adding more features. [00:04:13] Uh, but I don't really, uh, I've been talking to that. [00:04:19] One of their key investors on our behalf, single fire. [00:04:22] So I was telling them, I was like, Hey, I'm going to jump it on here. [00:04:25] Uh, so maybe they'll, they'll jump on as well. [00:04:30] Oh, that's good. [00:04:31] Oh, that's good. [00:04:33] Actually. [00:04:33] It's just us two. [00:04:34] Right. [00:04:34] Right now. [00:04:35] I'll be a little quieter. [00:04:37] You will see it here. [00:04:39] Yeah. [00:04:39] As soon as somebody jumps on and we're not even recording it right now. [00:04:44] So you're good. [00:04:45] Yeah. [00:04:46] One of the folks actually in the past couple of days, I began to talk to much more is, [00:04:50] um, Jack, uh, Hufford. [00:04:52] He was like one of the co-founders of Tenable. [00:04:55] Oh, really? [00:04:56] Yeah. [00:04:56] Yeah. [00:04:57] He's here's Russell. [00:04:59] Russell. [00:04:59] Hey, Russell. [00:05:02] Hey, we'll catch a minute. [00:05:03] Yeah. [00:05:04] All right. [00:05:05] So Russell, Tim was the first one on into the room today. [00:05:09] Uh, someone's, someone's got to start it strong. [00:05:12] Yeah. [00:05:13] Cool. [00:05:13] Great. [00:05:14] Uh, way to lead there. [00:05:16] Yeah. [00:05:16] I love it. [00:05:17] Yeah. [00:05:19] Hussain, how was your week? [00:05:21] It was good. [00:05:22] Good. [00:05:22] So far. [00:05:23] So good. [00:05:24] Quiet. [00:05:25] Yeah. [00:05:25] Um, and just getting things done. [00:05:28] Yeah. [00:05:28] March is a kind of strange month. [00:05:31] You got to get a bunch of stuff delivered with like goals and stuff. [00:05:35] So, uh, like goals for the rest of the year, like deliver to your team. [00:05:40] Yeah. [00:05:41] Yeah. [00:05:41] Yeah. [00:05:41] And then they have to kind of, um, you know, push back if they have to, and then I have to [00:05:46] compile it all and send it up. [00:05:47] Right. [00:05:48] Yeah. [00:05:49] And people can, it's just how things are. [00:05:52] I'm sure you, and then, you know, trying to get people on, um, uh, [00:05:55] Um, uh, sans training actually. [00:05:59] Oh, what classes are they looking at? [00:06:01] Any in particular? [00:06:02] Uh, well, yeah. [00:06:03] What do we do is we get, uh, Hey guys. [00:06:06] Hey, sorry, sorry, sorry. [00:06:09] Interrupt. [00:06:09] Um, let's just, let's, can we get some of the logistics quickly out of the way? [00:06:14] Sure. [00:06:14] Sorry. [00:06:14] I'm saying, uh, Hey Tim, so it looks like you were the first one to join us. [00:06:18] So can you just click on my face and do make moderator? [00:06:24] Yep. [00:06:24] Of course. [00:06:25] All right. [00:06:29] And while you're doing that, um, I'm just going to, uh, thanks. [00:06:34] Here we go. [00:06:34] All right. [00:06:35] All right. [00:06:35] So now all you have to do is just kick back and, uh, and just wait for us to hammer you [00:06:42] with questions. [00:06:44] It's hot. [00:06:45] No, I appreciate the hot seat. [00:06:47] Yeah. [00:06:48] That's going to be fun. [00:06:49] It's going to be a fun time. [00:06:50] Um, all right. [00:06:51] Hussein, I was, I was stopping to up to you. [00:06:54] Feel free to continue the conversation. [00:06:55] I'll handle pieces. [00:06:57] Um, I don't know. [00:06:58] Thank you. [00:06:59] Um, I don't know. [00:07:00] Yeah. [00:07:01] So we just buy, you know, for every member team member, we buy a voucher and they get to [00:07:06] pick the, the course they need to do within their own space. [00:07:11] Right. [00:07:12] And then they're required to take the exams to be certified. [00:07:17] That's cool. [00:07:17] I've used the voucher thing before back, uh, in the day. [00:07:20] And I agree that the value I think is there and it makes a lot of sense. [00:07:25] Yes. [00:07:25] If you know, folks are going to take it. [00:07:27] Exactly. [00:07:28] And then it just gives them a purpose too, right? [00:07:29] It's just not taking the course. [00:07:31] They're really learning it. [00:07:36] Hi, Katie. [00:07:37] Hi, Lisa. [00:07:39] Hey, good evening. [00:07:41] Hello. [00:07:42] Hello everyone. [00:07:43] Uh, let's wait for Mr. Maldonado to take over and start running the show. [00:07:54] Sure. [00:07:54] Sorry. [00:07:55] I'm just trying to, I'm just trying to add in, um, I want to ping the day. [00:08:00] Did they, they made some updates on the app? [00:08:02] Uh, where's the pin? [00:08:04] Uh, yeah. [00:08:06] All right. [00:08:06] I think I'm ready to go. [00:08:08] Hey, Lisa Beth. [00:08:09] Hey, Katie. [00:08:09] Thanks for popping. [00:08:10] And Katie, just microphone check for you. [00:08:13] Testing, testing. [00:08:16] Ha ha. [00:08:16] One, two, one, two. [00:08:19] All right. [00:08:20] Um, look, it's, uh, it's, it's just about time to sort of get started. [00:08:25] Um, we've got, we've got, we've got Tim in the hot seat today. [00:08:30] Um, so Tim, thanks for, uh, thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule. [00:08:34] I know it's hard, uh, you know, running a, running a company and, and making time for [00:08:39] quote unquote interviews and spending time with, uh, with us folks, uh, us, us non-CEO [00:08:46] folks, you know, we know, we know that's very difficult. [00:08:49] So, uh, thanks for that. [00:08:50] Um, but look at this. [00:08:52] Oh, trust me. [00:08:54] We're going to enjoy it as well. [00:08:55] Uh, did we turn on? [00:08:57] Yep. [00:08:57] We turn everything on. [00:08:58] So everything's on. [00:08:59] This is being recorded. [00:09:00] Um, so look, it's, it's about 8 PM Eastern time. [00:09:03] We're going to go to about 9 30 PM Eastern time. [00:09:06] We'll ask you questions for about 30 to 45 minutes or so. [00:09:09] And then we'll open up for the audience to, uh, raise their head and ask questions. [00:09:13] Um, uh, there must be something going on cause this is the audience is, uh, seems a little [00:09:18] thin this evening, but the good thing is this is being recorded so they can always play it [00:09:22] back. [00:09:23] So not a problem there. [00:09:24] So Tim, we're going to go around the room. [00:09:27] Actually, before I go to the introductions, just, uh, this quick, some quick ground rules [00:09:31] or guardrails, if you will, for, for the conversation. [00:09:34] Let's have fun. [00:09:35] Let's have a good time. [00:09:36] This is Wednesday. [00:09:37] Uh, I just flew in from, uh, from Palm beach, Florida. [00:09:40] So I'm just getting in, uh, not, not like I was on vacation. [00:09:44] I was actually working, uh, but it is the middle of the week. [00:09:46] So, you know, we're halfway there, right? [00:09:48] We're halfway towards that Friday or towards that weekend. [00:09:52] Although there was a zero day exploit released, uh, or communicated a few, like within an hour [00:09:58] ago or something like that. [00:09:59] So I'm, I'm hopeful that we will get through the, through to the weekend without any, uh, [00:10:05] any particular concerns, but we'll see. [00:10:07] We'll see how that pans out. [00:10:08] Uh, so let's have fun. [00:10:10] Uh, the other thing is our comments and opinions for the most part, uh, for a few of us on stage [00:10:14] that don't have ties to like, uh, or that don't have, I'll call it things binding us. [00:10:20] Uh, they're great, but for others, you know, our comments and opinions are, are our own [00:10:25] and not representative of our prior or current employer. [00:10:28] Uh, so we ask that you please respect that. [00:10:31] Uh, if you do pop up on stage. [00:10:32] You know, stick to questions about, uh, about the topic about us and maybe not about, uh, [00:10:38] where we work at and things like that. [00:10:40] Um, the last thing I'll say. [00:10:42] Is if you are a vendor in the room, which sometimes we get, and for the most part, there's, uh, [00:10:49] there's folks that already know the rules there. [00:10:51] You know, you can pop up on stage, you can ask a question, just, you know, we refrain from [00:10:54] selling us on your, on your latest product or your solution. [00:10:56] Let's not use this time for that. [00:10:58] Let's, let's use this time to really learn, uh, use this as a learning session, right? [00:11:02] Uh, you know, call it free mentoring or as, uh, uh, I'm going to get this wrong, but [00:11:06] I know Russell always says getting education cheap. [00:11:09] I think I got it wrong, but Russell, I know, I know you say it much better than me. [00:11:13] Um, but use this as, use this as that time, right? [00:11:16] As that opportunity to really get to, to learn from, uh, from somebody who's potentially doing [00:11:22] something that you might want to be doing, right? [00:11:24] Starting being a CEO for a startup and, and, and going through that process. [00:11:28] So without further ado, as I said, Tim, I'm going to, uh, do random introductions. [00:11:33] We'll leave you for last. [00:11:34] Uh, so I'm Tomas Maldonado. [00:11:36] I'm the CISO at the National Football League. [00:11:38] Uh, Hussein, over to you. [00:11:42] Good evening. [00:11:42] Uh, I'm the CISO here at RWJ Barnabas Health. [00:11:47] Uh, over to you, Russell. [00:11:49] Thanks, Hussein. [00:11:50] Hey, Russell Eubanks here, uh, former CISO and COO for the Atlanta Federal Reserve. [00:11:54] Last two years, uh, been running my own company security ever after. [00:11:59] Over to you, Katie. [00:12:01] Hi, good evening, everybody. [00:12:02] I'm Katie Hanahan. [00:12:03] I'm a VP of cybersecurity strategy and a VC. [00:12:07] So for a boutique SI out of Chicago, over to Lisa Beth. [00:12:12] Hello. [00:12:12] Hello everyone. [00:12:13] My name is Lisa Beth Lentini Walker. [00:12:15] I am a CEO of the firm Lumen Worldwide Endeavors, which is a compliance ethics and corporate governance consulting firm. [00:12:24] I also am a law school professor, as scary as that might be, in both the United States and in Europe. [00:12:30] And, um, an author. [00:12:32] So I'm excited to be here tonight and talking about our fireside chat with Timur. [00:12:38] So, uh, I'm going to let you go to the next step, Tomas. [00:12:41] All right. [00:12:43] Sounds good. [00:12:43] Thanks, Lisa Beth. [00:12:44] And thanks, Madera's, for joining us. [00:12:46] And, you know, I'd be remiss if I didn't say this. [00:12:49] I forget that I get to talk to two CEOs every week, which is Lisa Beth and Russell, who run their own company. [00:12:55] So I don't know why I forgot that. [00:12:59] But I do have that. [00:13:00] I am lucky, I'll say, to be able to speak to them on a weekly basis. [00:13:04] So, Tim, the spotlight is on you, my friend. [00:13:08] Why don't you take a moment, introduce yourself to the audience, and then we'll get into the Q&A. [00:13:13] Oh, by the way, I muted you. [00:13:17] Hang on. [00:13:17] Let me unmute you. [00:13:19] Or you can unmute yourself. [00:13:20] Just hit the microphone on the bottom right of your screen. [00:13:26] Yep. [00:13:26] In the classic double mute on my own mic. [00:13:29] So, no, I'm looking forward to this evening. [00:13:31] And I think great group here. [00:13:32] And looking forward to the kind of discussion to come. [00:13:35] But by way of kind of quick background. [00:13:37] So, Tim Osechkin, you know, one of the three co-founders of SILERA. [00:13:41] And we'll probably get into a little bit of this and some of the background and story. [00:13:45] But for the past kind of four and a half years, I've been running the company. [00:13:49] And we're predominantly focused on kind of solving this challenge around medical and IoT device security for hospitals. [00:13:56] And looking at this both from, you know, the U.S. predominantly, but also on a global scale. [00:14:01] You know, currently in recent light and everything going on, I think it only highlights kind of the cybersecurity risk of a lot of the non-traditional IT assets [00:14:09] that are increasingly being connected. [00:14:12] And with the digitalization, I think that's only going to increase in terms of year-over-year growth of these types of IoT-esque devices on the network. [00:14:19] So, looking forward to getting into maybe a little bit more of the story and how someone in my background that more came from mechanical engineering and public health [00:14:27] kind of got to found and start a company like this. [00:14:30] So, looking forward to the next part of the chat. [00:14:35] No, absolutely. [00:14:36] Look, and we're going to definitely get some time to get into that because I know there's a lot of folks that are really curious about that, myself included. [00:14:44] But I wanted to start a little bit early on in your sort of life, if you will. [00:14:50] And I usually like asking this question around origin and what's your origin story. [00:14:54] So, you know, when you think about where you were and where you've sort of, where you've been and where you're going, [00:15:04] you know, can you help us by giving us some more insight into you and your specific origin story, Timon? [00:15:11] Yeah, I think, you know, I'll go like if I suspected I was going to be doing this maybe even 10, 15 years ago [00:15:21] and kind of growing up both in school and going even to undergrad and graduate, [00:15:26] I don't think I would have even, maybe even five and a half years ago before we started this company, [00:15:31] you know, kind of anticipated I would be doing this. [00:15:34] So, I think, you know, my origin story, I'll kind of start it maybe because it truly probably started from college [00:15:40] and kind of thinking what I wanted to do and then how this ended up coming, [00:15:44] which is, again, a very kind of non-traditional cybersecurity founder startup story. [00:15:49] Most either have some very technical kind of expertise, even if they're on the business side of the house, [00:15:56] and certainly a lot of cybersecurity founders from either Israel or a lot of other companies being founded out there. [00:16:03] So, it's kind of interesting path. [00:16:04] So, you know, for myself, actually in my college days when I was up at Cornell, [00:16:10] it kind of actually I think I wanted more or less to be a doctor or a physician, [00:16:14] which is maybe still stayed in the realm of the healthcare world. [00:16:18] And, you know, went through that and kind of was more on the journey of this biomedical mechanical engineering [00:16:23] kind of understanding of using that processing and kind of engineering mindset [00:16:27] to want to, you know, be on the physician side of the house. [00:16:31] And then as that kind of grew towards the end of graduation and I stuck on for another master's [00:16:37] more in mechanical engineering and thought, what else could I be doing? [00:16:40] That kind of drove me to want to dive into something probably, again, [00:16:43] not too many people do from the engineering world to go over into the public health world. [00:16:48] And I got my master's in public health down here in New York City and in Columbia [00:16:53] and kind of threw that more on the health policy management side. [00:16:57] I think that actually just by fate or luck, if you want to call it, [00:17:01] got involved with a group that was one of the previous CIOs of the CDC. [00:17:07] And he was kind of tasked with, and from an origin piece that was around kind of 2015, 2016, [00:17:14] kind of looking at basically the cybersecurity lens through a public health lens [00:17:18] and particularly wanted to see when it came to all of this digitalization, [00:17:21] digitalization, EHR adoption, and now all these vendors producing more connected medical devices [00:17:27] in focus. [00:17:29] How was the risk if there would be a security incident with those? [00:17:32] How can we address that from a public health and policy side? [00:17:35] And so that was my four-way kind of pure coincidence back in 2015 into 2016 [00:17:40] to get involved with this kind of very small and kind of dedicated team to look at this from [00:17:46] both what was kind of funded through and this is kind of publicly available information [00:17:52] is from the DHS side on kind of their science technology group. [00:17:55] And so I was kind of brought on with a very small group of different lawyers, [00:18:00] actually clinicians and security specialists that kind of put together a larger kind of policy [00:18:05] and kind of update on what practices would be best. [00:18:08] And kind of through that, you know, quote, an 18-month journey, we kind of learned a lot, [00:18:14] I would say myself, around the challenges around kind of cybersecurity within healthcare environments [00:18:19] and particularly for if certain types of incidents or responses would occur, [00:18:24] how best can we look at that not just from a security incident but from a patient safety side. [00:18:29] And I think a lot of that kind of lessons learned from 2015, 2016, [00:18:32] and into the beginning of 2017 kind of combined with I had my first kind of [00:18:38] forlay into the kind of startup lens, I would say, by actually forming a medical device company. [00:18:45] I'll call that more of a early stage kind of mom and pop type run company [00:18:50] where it was myself and the same founding crew of SILER eventually [00:18:53] with a different group of engineers kind of looking at building out a wireless medical device. [00:18:59] And this was actually a wireless blood pressure device you could put on all of the extremities. [00:19:03] So imagine both ankles, both arms, and then synchronized measurements between it, [00:19:08] which has a lot of interesting applications for, you know, vasculature and different type of early diagnosis, [00:19:13] especially if you have major differences between your arms [00:19:15] or certainly between your lower extremities, ankles, to your arms as well. [00:19:20] So that kind of correlation of this consulting work combo with getting involved [00:19:25] didn't take any VC money on that kind of self-funded and were working on some early [00:19:29] kind of clinical trials at one hospital that actually eventually became one of our first clients [00:19:35] in the end of SILER side, kind of opened the eyes up and found two other individuals. [00:19:41] Again, pure kind of interesting fate and coincidence that I had also known from my college days. [00:19:47] They had different career paths. [00:19:48] And we really back up in kind of late 2016 into beginning of 2017, [00:19:54] and then really thought this market around this challenge of medical IoT [00:19:59] and infrastructure security for hospitals was only going to be growing. [00:20:02] And so with our kind of insight and foresight from their more special, you know, [00:20:06] special out even kind of network and cybersecurity, [00:20:10] now we said, look, let's take a leap of faith here. [00:20:13] We'll quit everything else we're doing, [00:20:15] and we'll jump in at the beginning of 2017 on this initiative. [00:20:18] And it probably took us about three to five months to go from, [00:20:23] and I know I'm jumping in now a little bit origin story prior to SILER, [00:20:26] but I think it kind of will tie back together, [00:20:29] kind of a three to five month journey in the beginning of 2017 [00:20:32] to go from truly a, you know, I'll call it back of the napkin idea [00:20:35] that the three of us with not a ton of experience, you know, [00:20:39] you know, three, four, five years out from college [00:20:43] and looking at kind of solving a very kind of challenging space to begin with. [00:20:47] And a lot of bigger companies looking at solving it prior to that. [00:20:50] So I think we have an approach here that can really be justified [00:20:53] and fit not just a niche need, [00:20:55] but expanded need here within hospital organizations. [00:20:58] And went from that to kind of our first financing of it [00:21:02] and kind of the midway point of 17. [00:21:04] And then from there, you know, [00:21:06] I can tie a little bit more of that story together, [00:21:08] but that was really my origin into all of this. [00:21:10] And I think it certainly comes from maybe a non-traditional route [00:21:13] on the cybersecurity founder side. [00:21:18] That's awesome, man. [00:21:19] Look, you had a big idea, right? [00:21:21] And you've sort of been able to take that big idea [00:21:26] and really refine it and add value. [00:21:28] So that's great. [00:21:30] So Hussein, I'll pass it over to you. [00:21:34] Congratulations, Timur. [00:21:35] So you had the foresight to come up with an idea [00:21:37] and the courage to launch a company as well. [00:21:40] And those are the two, I guess, ingredients for a leader to be. [00:21:45] But tell us a little bit about yourself, about your background. [00:21:48] Where did you grow up? [00:21:49] Where did you go to high school? [00:21:51] What do you do to entertain yourself [00:21:54] or find that, you know, I would say meditation time? [00:21:59] Well, I think certainly the past almost five years, [00:22:03] it's been a harder challenge on some of that. [00:22:08] I think, you know, to hit a good question there, [00:22:10] kind of the growing up and kind of what maybe influence [00:22:13] what I'm doing now is, you know, [00:22:16] I grew up in, anyone knows Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. [00:22:19] I'll shout out there for it, [00:22:21] but not too far away from where I am here in the New York City [00:22:24] and kind of Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania. [00:22:28] And, you know, actually funny enough, [00:22:30] the high school we went to on the public side [00:22:32] was Freedom High School, it was kind of called. [00:22:34] And again, I think all my origin, [00:22:37] and many folks have this on like what they wanted, [00:22:40] what they foresaw themselves back in high school [00:22:41] was somewhat in healthcare. [00:22:44] I just think the turn of, you know, [00:22:47] I'm going to be on more of the cybersecurity side, [00:22:49] IT side and technology side [00:22:51] was something I probably 100% did not forecast. [00:22:54] And I think I always had a drive probably more [00:22:59] for forming and solving, [00:23:01] not just solving kind of challenging things, [00:23:03] but leading a group to solve it. [00:23:05] And maybe you can say getting people [00:23:08] that are much smarter than myself [00:23:09] to help in the endeavor of solving it, [00:23:11] which I think for anyone that is kind of looking [00:23:13] to have found the company [00:23:14] and want to bring a good team, [00:23:16] it's, you know, [00:23:17] you don't have to be the smartest person in the room. [00:23:19] I think it's more important to be the person [00:23:21] to help enable the smart folks [00:23:23] to make sure they're not, you know, [00:23:25] butting heads or up against [00:23:27] different kind of motivations. [00:23:29] And I think always from a young age, [00:23:31] I kind of enjoyed doing that if it was in sports [00:23:33] or if it was on the more academic side. [00:23:35] And so I think I probably used a lot of that leverage [00:23:38] of how I kind of grew up both as a, [00:23:42] I'll say a little bit inspired probably [00:23:44] by the only child syndrome too, [00:23:47] of if I'm not going to, [00:23:48] if I'm going to be by myself most of the time, [00:23:49] let's get a group together more [00:23:51] and both, you know, enjoy that, [00:23:54] enjoy that, [00:23:55] but also how can we accomplish something? [00:23:57] So that was a little bit about, [00:23:59] you know, kind of where I grew up [00:24:02] and a little bit about probably [00:24:03] what led me to here, [00:24:06] a little bit on the origin side. [00:24:07] Unless you want me to go more specific there, [00:24:09] you say? [00:24:09] If you want to, [00:24:11] I mean, it's up to you. [00:24:14] And I guess, you know, [00:24:15] to hit that other part, [00:24:16] the hobbies piece, [00:24:17] I got to say the past couple of years, [00:24:20] it's the hobby certainly becomes [00:24:22] the career on this. [00:24:25] And, you know, [00:24:26] when you go from three people founding it [00:24:30] and now we're over kind of 30 people [00:24:32] and have taken in [00:24:33] about kind of 20 million [00:24:35] in financing [00:24:37] and all the considerations [00:24:39] and constraints of [00:24:40] dealing with, [00:24:41] you know, [00:24:42] investors [00:24:42] and growing the company, [00:24:44] international growth [00:24:45] and probably more recently, [00:24:46] especially in the past six to nine months [00:24:48] on that side [00:24:49] and kind of [00:24:50] almost doubling the team [00:24:51] in a kind of six to nine month [00:24:53] spurt there. [00:24:54] I think some of the hobbies [00:24:55] can sometimes, [00:24:56] unfortunately, [00:24:57] even in this light [00:24:58] that we're kind of coming out, [00:24:59] hopefully here of COVID [00:25:00] has taken a little bit of a hit, [00:25:01] but I think the best thing [00:25:03] if you're living in a place [00:25:04] like obviously New York, [00:25:06] there's plenty of things to do. [00:25:09] Even if you just walk around outside, [00:25:10] you'll see plenty of things [00:25:12] and kind of take your mind off [00:25:13] a lot of the daily kind of tasks [00:25:17] and management [00:25:18] and issues. [00:25:19] And I sometimes like to make the joke [00:25:21] that people think, [00:25:22] you know, [00:25:23] founders on the startup side [00:25:25] might, [00:25:26] depending on how they feel, [00:25:27] sleep, [00:25:29] maybe sleep like a baby. [00:25:31] I take the fact [00:25:32] of the baby sleep [00:25:33] as more of the, [00:25:34] sometimes you're constantly up [00:25:35] and you're worrying about things [00:25:37] and you can keep a lot of people up [00:25:39] and I think it's important [00:25:40] to make sure [00:25:41] you always find something [00:25:41] that you enjoy on the side. [00:25:43] And I think for me, [00:25:44] even just a simple, [00:25:45] you know, [00:25:46] run around Central Park [00:25:47] or walk [00:25:47] or taking that time out [00:25:49] to just appreciate the bigger things [00:25:50] is like an easy, [00:25:51] easy stress relief. [00:25:53] Awesome. [00:25:54] Thank you. [00:25:54] Over to you, Russell. [00:25:55] Thanks, Susten. [00:25:59] Hey, Tim, [00:25:59] great to have you here this evening. [00:26:01] Always love learning from others [00:26:02] and as Tomas was saying earlier, [00:26:05] when we can get wisdom [00:26:06] as cheaply as we can, [00:26:07] I believe that we all get to win. [00:26:09] So my question for you, [00:26:11] so full disclosure, [00:26:12] I worked many years, [00:26:14] like a bunch of years [00:26:15] in healthcare, [00:26:16] IT security, [00:26:17] very familiar with that space. [00:26:18] And now in my consulting company, [00:26:23] I work a lot with financial companies [00:26:24] and healthcare companies [00:26:25] and I have a feeling [00:26:28] and I want to bounce it off of you. [00:26:29] I have a feeling that [00:26:30] while financial services [00:26:32] appears to say getting stronger, [00:26:34] getting better, [00:26:35] healthcare, [00:26:36] I worry a little bit. [00:26:38] I'm glad you're doing [00:26:39] what you're doing. [00:26:40] I applaud, [00:26:41] you know, [00:26:41] a company, [00:26:41] 30 people, [00:26:42] 20 million in funding. [00:26:44] Yeah, [00:26:44] I could be a bigger fan, [00:26:45] but I'm worried that healthcare [00:26:46] is either getting the same [00:26:48] or maybe even getting worse. [00:26:51] What do you think about that? [00:26:53] What's your reaction [00:26:53] to the status of healthcare, [00:26:55] IT security at large? [00:26:57] I'm not poking at your company [00:26:58] by any means, [00:26:58] but just in the industry, [00:27:00] what do you think? [00:27:01] Getting better, [00:27:01] getting worse, [00:27:02] the same? [00:27:03] How should I think about that? [00:27:05] I got an expert here [00:27:07] that I got to be careful [00:27:08] about always with, [00:27:09] he's saying that [00:27:10] we'll read into anything [00:27:11] I say on that side [00:27:12] since he's been doing it [00:27:13] for a much longer time [00:27:15] on the healthcare side. [00:27:16] But I think if I just, [00:27:17] I'll use the global side [00:27:19] because it's been fun [00:27:20] and interesting to see [00:27:22] in the past 12 months [00:27:23] from the US clients [00:27:25] to maybe in the UK [00:27:27] or into, [00:27:28] you know, [00:27:29] Asia, [00:27:30] how they're viewing, [00:27:31] you know, [00:27:32] cybersecurity risk [00:27:33] and kind of, [00:27:34] I'd say, [00:27:35] fundamental principles [00:27:35] of putting a security [00:27:36] program together. [00:27:37] I certainly think, [00:27:39] you know, [00:27:40] the US in terms of [00:27:41] private hospitals [00:27:42] certainly have an advantage [00:27:44] on probably resources [00:27:45] and capability [00:27:46] compared to some [00:27:48] of the more [00:27:49] nationalized kind [00:27:51] of healthcare systems [00:27:52] and not saying that [00:27:52] against maybe the UK [00:27:54] or in Europe [00:27:54] just because you can [00:27:56] have very good, [00:27:56] especially if you're [00:27:57] a larger healthcare [00:27:58] organization, [00:27:59] have a solid team [00:28:00] and resources behind it. [00:28:01] So even whatever tools [00:28:03] you're buying [00:28:04] or purchasing [00:28:04] to augment, [00:28:05] you know, [00:28:06] the capabilities [00:28:06] of the people [00:28:07] and the process [00:28:08] behind it, [00:28:09] you're going to have [00:28:09] a little bit more [00:28:10] attention there. [00:28:11] But what I think I see, [00:28:12] you know, [00:28:13] and especially [00:28:13] in the past couple years, [00:28:15] two years in this kind [00:28:16] of COVID era [00:28:18] and coming out [00:28:18] is I think [00:28:19] the ability [00:28:20] of being very adaptive [00:28:21] that realize the risk [00:28:22] I think has changed [00:28:23] and I'll kind of [00:28:24] counterbalance [00:28:25] I kind of want you saying [00:28:26] if you want to jump in [00:28:26] after I kind of [00:28:28] share it even [00:28:29] any perspective there too [00:28:30] is I think the [00:28:31] international, [00:28:34] larger nationalized [00:28:35] healthcare systems [00:28:35] are putting actually [00:28:37] their resources [00:28:37] and attention [00:28:38] to the local [00:28:39] actual hospital, [00:28:40] acute care hospitals [00:28:41] and their facilities [00:28:41] and this probably [00:28:43] stemmed initially [00:28:44] like everyone [00:28:44] thinks about [00:28:45] from like WannaCry [00:28:45] in 2017 [00:28:47] and what that meant [00:28:48] for someone [00:28:49] like the NHS [00:28:50] and kind of [00:28:52] looking at very [00:28:53] how can we be [00:28:53] more targeted [00:28:54] instead of reactionary [00:28:56] that if there's [00:28:56] an incident [00:28:57] we're almost [00:28:57] shutting down [00:28:58] systems [00:28:59] and clinical systems [00:29:00] preemptive [00:29:01] of thinking about [00:29:02] are we actually [00:29:03] is that a risk [00:29:04] or target [00:29:04] versus I just want [00:29:05] to, you know, [00:29:06] kind of stop [00:29:06] the bleeding [00:29:07] kind of mentality [00:29:07] and I think [00:29:08] I do see [00:29:09] a good switch [00:29:10] on the people [00:29:11] and personnel [00:29:12] especially in the [00:29:13] past two years [00:29:13] that are kind [00:29:14] of being hired [00:29:15] out on the global [00:29:16] side of many hospitals [00:29:17] and that's probably [00:29:18] more or less [00:29:19] driven from the fact [00:29:20] that as they [00:29:21] digitalize more [00:29:22] and you see this [00:29:22] in like the HIMSS [00:29:24] if you're familiar [00:29:24] with the HIMSS [00:29:25] which is this [00:29:26] healthcare IT [00:29:26] kind of organization [00:29:27] broadly speaking [00:29:28] and they rank [00:29:29] certain countries [00:29:30] hospitals as like [00:29:31] HIMSS [00:29:32] stage one [00:29:33] or two [00:29:33] or three [00:29:34] or four [00:29:34] or five [00:29:34] six [00:29:35] seven [00:29:35] the max [00:29:36] those six [00:29:36] and seven [00:29:37] are like the most [00:29:37] digitalized [00:29:38] and connected [00:29:39] as that [00:29:39] digitalization [00:29:40] has become [00:29:41] more adopted [00:29:42] I think the [00:29:43] leadership [00:29:44] has actually [00:29:45] viewed the security [00:29:46] piece as something [00:29:46] fundamental actually [00:29:47] of running the hospital [00:29:48] versus 10 [00:29:49] 15 years ago [00:29:50] maybe that [00:29:52] cybersecurity piece [00:29:53] was not an [00:29:54] afterthought [00:29:55] but kind of [00:29:56] viewed differently [00:29:56] than certainly [00:29:57] it is now [00:29:58] and I'm saying [00:30:00] that with all [00:30:00] my words [00:30:00] cautious [00:30:01] knowing there's [00:30:02] a good expert [00:30:03] here from [00:30:04] Hussein [00:30:04] so I don't know [00:30:05] Hussein am I [00:30:06] on or off [00:30:07] of that [00:30:07] you hit the mark [00:30:09] my friend [00:30:10] and put it in [00:30:11] very eloquently [00:30:12] as well [00:30:12] thank you [00:30:13] that's fantastic [00:30:16] and you know [00:30:16] I appreciate the answer [00:30:18] I respect it [00:30:19] and that means a lot [00:30:20] I will adjust [00:30:22] my thinking [00:30:22] and adjust [00:30:23] my perception [00:30:24] based on both [00:30:25] of your [00:30:25] insights there [00:30:27] and so I very [00:30:28] much appreciate that [00:30:29] I'm glad to know [00:30:29] it as a person [00:30:30] who needs health care [00:30:31] my wife works [00:30:32] in health care [00:30:32] I'm a fan of [00:30:34] but now I have [00:30:35] a new appreciation [00:30:35] for the growth [00:30:37] in that area [00:30:38] so I really [00:30:39] appreciate that [00:30:39] all right [00:30:43] oh please [00:30:44] go ahead [00:30:44] yeah I mean [00:30:45] I was going to say [00:30:45] one thing to add [00:30:46] to it always [00:30:46] is I think [00:30:47] that still [00:30:48] the challenges [00:30:48] it's probably [00:30:49] on the health care [00:30:50] front is [00:30:51] even in this [00:30:52] current kind [00:30:52] of job market [00:30:53] is finding [00:30:54] the right talent [00:30:55] still can be [00:30:56] a struggle [00:30:57] you know [00:30:57] you talk to many [00:30:58] like leadership [00:31:00] folks at hospitals [00:31:01] and finding [00:31:01] the right type [00:31:03] of you know [00:31:03] IT and security [00:31:04] always might be [00:31:05] a challenge [00:31:06] but especially [00:31:06] with you know [00:31:08] maybe higher [00:31:09] salaries and [00:31:10] how things are [00:31:11] done on the [00:31:11] private side [00:31:12] outside of health [00:31:13] care I think [00:31:13] that's still [00:31:14] a big challenge [00:31:15] in the US [00:31:16] and internationally [00:31:17] and you know [00:31:19] even the lifestyle [00:31:20] and the [00:31:20] it's not like [00:31:21] you get an easy [00:31:22] lifestyle in the [00:31:23] cybersecurity realm [00:31:23] so you can't [00:31:24] hit them on the [00:31:25] this is a nine [00:31:26] to five job [00:31:26] versus you can [00:31:27] get something [00:31:28] a little bit [00:31:28] faster paced [00:31:30] and you know [00:31:31] they might pay [00:31:31] more and I think [00:31:32] still that's going [00:31:33] to be something [00:31:33] I don't necessarily [00:31:35] have the answer [00:31:35] on how to resolve [00:31:36] that broadly speaking [00:31:38] again I cannot [00:31:42] be more happy [00:31:43] and grateful [00:31:44] for it [00:31:45] Katie over [00:31:46] to you [00:31:47] hey great [00:31:50] to meet you [00:31:51] I love [00:31:52] a startup story [00:31:53] and I'm very [00:31:54] intrigued with [00:31:55] with the health [00:31:55] care industry [00:31:56] I always love [00:31:57] to ask a question [00:31:58] though [00:31:58] I wait [00:32:00] and I like [00:32:00] when I'm [00:32:01] one of the [00:32:01] later moderators [00:32:02] to ask questions [00:32:03] so I like to [00:32:03] listen to what [00:32:04] you're saying [00:32:05] I don't know [00:32:06] why I stuck [00:32:07] on this [00:32:07] but Bethlehem [00:32:09] Pennsylvania [00:32:09] and then you [00:32:10] mentioned [00:32:11] but then kind [00:32:11] of glossed [00:32:12] over it [00:32:12] Freedom High [00:32:13] School [00:32:13] I love that [00:32:14] you have [00:32:14] like these [00:32:15] very interesting [00:32:16] you know [00:32:17] names of [00:32:19] your origin [00:32:20] story that [00:32:20] we can all [00:32:21] identify with [00:32:22] just the actual [00:32:22] you know [00:32:23] name of a city [00:32:23] slash Freedom [00:32:24] High School [00:32:25] so I just [00:32:26] thought that [00:32:26] was kind [00:32:26] of interesting [00:32:27] but I pulled [00:32:28] it up [00:32:28] because I was [00:32:28] like where [00:32:28] is Bethlehem [00:32:29] Pennsylvania [00:32:29] and then it [00:32:30] made me think [00:32:30] to myself [00:32:31] how does [00:32:32] somebody from [00:32:32] Bethlehem [00:32:33] Pennsylvania [00:32:33] decide to [00:32:35] found this [00:32:35] company [00:32:36] and I think [00:32:37] what we missed [00:32:37] in the first [00:32:38] question is [00:32:39] maybe a little [00:32:39] bit of the [00:32:40] connection [00:32:41] between [00:32:42] where you [00:32:43] came from [00:32:44] this you [00:32:44] know it [00:32:45] looks very [00:32:45] all-American [00:32:46] town based [00:32:46] on their [00:32:47] website [00:32:47] very nice [00:32:48] website [00:32:48] but just [00:32:50] you know [00:32:50] wondering [00:32:50] in Freedom [00:32:51] High School [00:32:52] and I want [00:32:52] to know [00:32:52] is that a [00:32:53] private school [00:32:53] or is that [00:32:53] the name [00:32:54] of the public [00:32:54] school [00:32:55] in Bethlehem [00:32:55] Pennsylvania [00:32:55] I'm [00:32:57] giving [00:32:57] some good [00:32:58] shout out [00:32:58] to Bethlehem [00:32:59] you know [00:32:59] I mean [00:32:59] the funniest [00:33:01] part is [00:33:01] the two [00:33:02] public [00:33:02] schools [00:33:02] in Bethlehem [00:33:03] were [00:33:03] one was [00:33:04] Freedom [00:33:04] and the other [00:33:05] one was [00:33:05] Liberty [00:33:05] Liberty High [00:33:06] School [00:33:07] and Freedom [00:33:07] these are the [00:33:08] high schools [00:33:08] and the [00:33:09] Freedom High [00:33:10] Schools [00:33:11] like mascot [00:33:11] was basically [00:33:12] the patriot [00:33:12] so they would [00:33:14] dress up [00:33:14] and Liberty [00:33:15] which I'm [00:33:16] anyone that [00:33:16] went there [00:33:17] I don't know [00:33:17] they're marching [00:33:18] in and stuff [00:33:19] they dressed [00:33:19] up basically [00:33:21] as kind [00:33:21] of [00:33:21] in English [00:33:22] kind [00:33:23] of [00:33:24] like the [00:33:27] traditional [00:33:27] kind of [00:33:28] 1700s [00:33:29] look [00:33:29] on how [00:33:30] they did [00:33:30] so it was [00:33:30] they had [00:33:31] Patriots [00:33:31] versus [00:33:32] kind of [00:33:33] Liberty High [00:33:33] School [00:33:34] and I always [00:33:34] just felt [00:33:35] that was [00:33:35] like a [00:33:35] I don't know [00:33:36] how that [00:33:36] tradition [00:33:36] started [00:33:37] I think [00:33:37] it was [00:33:37] probably [00:33:38] in the [00:33:39] 1800s [00:33:39] when the [00:33:40] kind of [00:33:40] city [00:33:40] and the [00:33:41] public [00:33:41] schools [00:33:41] got formed [00:33:42] late [00:33:42] and then [00:33:42] into the [00:33:43] early [00:33:43] 1900s [00:33:43] that they [00:33:44] decided [00:33:44] to go [00:33:44] with [00:33:44] that [00:33:46] theme [00:33:46] but [00:33:47] Bethlehem [00:33:49] itself [00:33:49] has a [00:33:49] kind [00:33:50] of [00:33:50] rich [00:33:50] history [00:33:50] that [00:33:51] is [00:33:51] known [00:33:51] as [00:33:51] the [00:33:52] Christmas [00:33:53] city [00:33:54] in that [00:33:54] sense [00:33:54] not to get [00:33:56] into the [00:33:56] historical [00:33:57] side [00:33:57] but the [00:33:57] Moravians [00:33:58] were the [00:33:58] first ones [00:33:59] there [00:34:00] at least [00:34:01] from [00:34:01] Europe [00:34:02] were the [00:34:03] first ones [00:34:03] coming out [00:34:04] west [00:34:04] it's an [00:34:06] interesting [00:34:07] rich city [00:34:08] there [00:34:08] but if [00:34:08] you think [00:34:09] about it [00:34:09] Bethlehem [00:34:09] is an [00:34:10] hour and [00:34:10] a half [00:34:10] north [00:34:11] of [00:34:11] Philadelphia [00:34:12] an hour [00:34:13] and a [00:34:13] half [00:34:13] west [00:34:14] of [00:34:14] New [00:34:14] York [00:34:14] so [00:34:15] you [00:34:15] always [00:34:15] even [00:34:15] growing [00:34:16] up [00:34:16] you [00:34:16] had [00:34:16] a [00:34:17] bunch [00:34:17] of [00:34:17] folks [00:34:18] that [00:34:18] had [00:34:18] traveled [00:34:19] and worked [00:34:19] in [00:34:20] New [00:34:20] York [00:34:20] I don't [00:34:20] know [00:34:20] how [00:34:21] they [00:34:21] did [00:34:21] it [00:34:21] an hour [00:34:21] and a half [00:34:22] that type [00:34:22] of way [00:34:23] back and [00:34:23] forth [00:34:23] into the [00:34:24] into the [00:34:25] city [00:34:25] seems like [00:34:25] a long [00:34:26] commute [00:34:26] especially [00:34:26] with traffic [00:34:27] or into [00:34:27] Philadelphia [00:34:28] so you [00:34:29] had a lot [00:34:29] of interesting [00:34:30] you know [00:34:30] backgrounds [00:34:31] of people [00:34:32] and different [00:34:33] companies [00:34:34] and things [00:34:34] they did [00:34:35] and that [00:34:35] was like [00:34:35] the community [00:34:36] I grew [00:34:37] up with [00:34:37] so it [00:34:37] was a [00:34:38] wide array [00:34:38] of types [00:34:44] my background [00:34:45] and name [00:34:45] Tim Rose [00:34:46] Eshkin [00:34:46] was more [00:34:47] the history [00:34:48] on [00:34:48] one side [00:34:50] of the [00:34:50] family [00:34:50] from Turkey [00:34:51] and another [00:34:51] from kind [00:34:52] of Hungary [00:34:52] and it [00:34:53] was a [00:34:54] very interesting [00:34:55] combination [00:34:55] and I think [00:34:56] that all [00:34:56] led to [00:34:57] probably [00:34:58] wanting to [00:34:59] do [00:34:59] that kind [00:35:00] of traditional [00:35:01] more American [00:35:01] story [00:35:01] of wanting [00:35:02] to do [00:35:02] something [00:35:02] on my [00:35:03] own [00:35:03] even though [00:35:04] there was [00:35:05] a piece [00:35:05] where I [00:35:05] thought I [00:35:06] was going [00:35:06] to go [00:35:06] down [00:35:06] this [00:35:06] healthcare [00:35:07] and [00:35:07] physician [00:35:08] route [00:35:08] and I [00:35:09] think [00:35:09] just [00:35:10] fate [00:35:10] kind [00:35:10] of [00:35:10] aligns [00:35:11] probably [00:35:12] this [00:35:13] post [00:35:13] graduate [00:35:15] school [00:35:15] again [00:35:16] it was [00:35:16] like [00:35:16] if I [00:35:17] trace [00:35:17] the [00:35:17] origin [00:35:18] of [00:35:18] starting [00:35:19] SILERA [00:35:19] it was [00:35:19] probably [00:35:20] literally [00:35:20] one [00:35:20] meeting [00:35:20] up at [00:35:21] Columbia [00:35:22] Medical [00:35:23] School [00:35:23] up on [00:35:24] their [00:35:24] medical [00:35:24] campus [00:35:25] and [00:35:25] folks [00:35:26] with [00:35:26] New York [00:35:26] are familiar [00:35:27] up on [00:35:27] like [00:35:27] 171st [00:35:29] on the [00:35:29] west side [00:35:31] on the [00:35:31] hand [00:35:31] and it [00:35:32] was kind [00:35:33] of one [00:35:33] introduction [00:35:33] by one [00:35:34] professor [00:35:34] there [00:35:34] to [00:35:35] another [00:35:35] individual [00:35:35] that [00:35:35] was [00:35:36] working [00:35:36] on [00:35:36] this [00:35:36] project [00:35:37] around [00:35:38] medical [00:35:38] device [00:35:38] kind [00:35:39] of [00:35:39] cyber [00:35:39] security [00:35:40] and I [00:35:40] was [00:35:40] like [00:35:40] well [00:35:41] let me [00:35:41] take [00:35:41] the [00:35:41] meeting [00:35:42] and [00:35:42] I'm [00:35:43] curious [00:35:43] what [00:35:43] their [00:35:43] insights [00:35:44] there [00:35:44] because [00:35:44] I have [00:35:45] an [00:35:45] engineering [00:35:45] background [00:35:45] and there's [00:35:46] not many [00:35:46] engineers [00:35:46] in the [00:35:47] public [00:35:47] health [00:35:48] school [00:35:48] so it [00:35:49] was kind [00:35:49] of a [00:35:49] unique [00:35:50] thing [00:35:51] and [00:35:51] literally [00:35:51] from there [00:35:52] and that [00:35:52] was [00:35:52] in 2015 [00:35:53] it kind [00:35:55] of was [00:35:55] a 12 [00:35:56] to 18 [00:35:56] month [00:35:57] journey [00:35:57] before [00:35:57] I was [00:35:58] like [00:35:58] well [00:35:58] maybe [00:35:59] we do [00:36:00] this [00:36:00] kind [00:36:00] of [00:36:01] network [00:36:01] cyber [00:36:02] security [00:36:02] product [00:36:02] bring [00:36:02] the [00:36:03] right [00:36:03] two [00:36:03] other [00:36:04] founders [00:36:04] that [00:36:04] I had [00:36:05] linked [00:36:05] up [00:36:06] with [00:36:06] that I [00:36:06] already [00:36:06] had [00:36:06] known [00:36:07] as [00:36:07] friends [00:36:07] and we [00:36:09] took [00:36:09] the [00:36:09] kind [00:36:10] of [00:36:10] leap [00:36:10] and [00:36:11] it's [00:36:12] always [00:36:12] fun [00:36:12] to see [00:36:12] that [00:36:13] kind [00:36:13] of [00:36:13] the [00:36:13] leap [00:36:13] turn [00:36:14] into [00:36:14] a [00:36:14] fruition [00:36:14] of [00:36:15] kind [00:36:15] of [00:36:15] growth [00:36:16] and [00:36:17] tackling [00:36:17] something [00:36:17] that's [00:36:17] important [00:36:18] right [00:36:18] not just [00:36:18] creating [00:36:19] something [00:36:19] for the [00:36:20] sake [00:36:20] of [00:36:20] creating [00:36:20] well [00:36:22] yeah [00:36:23] I appreciate [00:36:23] that [00:36:23] there was [00:36:24] a lot [00:36:24] there [00:36:24] that you [00:36:24] just [00:36:25] unpacked [00:36:26] because [00:36:27] you talked [00:36:27] about [00:36:28] you know [00:36:28] where you [00:36:28] came from [00:36:29] and having [00:36:29] a number [00:36:30] of people [00:36:30] who are [00:36:31] in this [00:36:32] very [00:36:32] kind of [00:36:33] unique [00:36:33] and I [00:36:33] had pulled [00:36:34] it up [00:36:35] on Google [00:36:35] Earth [00:36:35] because [00:36:36] I'm sorry [00:36:36] I didn't [00:36:36] know where [00:36:37] Bethlehem [00:36:37] Pennsylvania [00:36:38] was until [00:36:38] you said [00:36:39] where it [00:36:39] was [00:36:39] but I [00:36:40] found [00:36:40] that [00:36:40] interesting [00:36:40] as well [00:36:41] that [00:36:41] I'm [00:36:42] like [00:36:42] oh [00:36:42] this [00:36:42] is [00:36:42] a [00:36:43] really [00:36:43] interesting [00:36:43] spot [00:36:43] and I [00:36:44] thought [00:36:44] to [00:36:44] myself [00:36:44] I [00:36:45] wonder [00:36:45] if [00:36:45] people [00:36:45] are [00:36:50] had [00:36:51] interesting [00:36:51] origin [00:36:52] stories [00:36:52] like [00:36:52] you [00:36:52] just [00:36:53] said [00:36:53] and [00:36:55] then [00:36:55] you [00:36:55] also [00:36:56] just [00:36:56] kind [00:36:56] of [00:36:56] connected [00:36:56] that [00:36:57] to [00:36:57] your [00:36:58] meeting [00:36:59] at [00:36:59] Columbia [00:37:00] but [00:37:00] I'm [00:37:00] still [00:37:00] kind [00:37:00] of [00:37:00] missing [00:37:01] those [00:37:01] parts [00:37:02] in [00:37:02] between [00:37:03] who [00:37:03] were [00:37:03] the [00:37:03] mentors [00:37:04] that [00:37:04] really [00:37:04] inspired [00:37:05] you [00:37:05] to [00:37:05] have [00:37:05] this [00:37:05] entrepreneurial [00:37:06] spirit [00:37:07] outside [00:37:07] of [00:37:08] this [00:37:08] awesome [00:37:09] town [00:37:09] it [00:37:09] sounds [00:37:09] like [00:37:09] you [00:37:09] grew [00:37:10] up [00:37:10] in [00:37:10] and [00:37:11] then [00:37:11] two [00:37:12] once [00:37:13] you [00:37:13] found [00:37:13] those [00:37:14] people [00:37:15] what [00:37:17] was [00:37:18] it [00:37:18] about [00:37:18] your [00:37:20] your [00:37:20] acumen [00:37:21] around [00:37:22] engineering [00:37:23] and [00:37:23] also [00:37:24] as it [00:37:25] related [00:37:25] to [00:37:25] the [00:37:26] healthcare [00:37:26] community [00:37:27] I [00:37:27] just [00:37:27] kind [00:37:27] of [00:37:27] want [00:37:27] to [00:37:27] string [00:37:28] those [00:37:28] things [00:37:28] together [00:37:29] because [00:37:29] I [00:37:31] really [00:37:31] haven't [00:37:31] gotten [00:37:32] there [00:37:32] yet [00:37:32] with [00:37:32] your [00:37:32] story [00:37:33] and [00:37:33] I [00:37:33] find [00:37:33] it [00:37:33] fascinating [00:37:34] yeah [00:37:36] I [00:37:36] think [00:37:36] that [00:37:36] it [00:37:37] happened [00:37:38] quite [00:37:39] quick [00:37:39] you [00:37:39] know [00:37:39] sometimes [00:37:40] people [00:37:40] have [00:37:41] a [00:37:41] vision [00:37:41] that [00:37:41] they [00:37:41] want [00:37:41] to [00:37:41] do [00:37:42] this [00:37:42] for [00:37:42] they [00:37:43] want [00:37:43] to [00:37:43] found [00:37:43] the [00:37:43] company [00:37:44] even [00:37:44] if [00:37:45] they [00:37:45] don't [00:37:45] know [00:37:45] what [00:37:45] they [00:37:45] want [00:37:45] to [00:37:45] do [00:37:45] that [00:37:46] is [00:37:46] their [00:37:47] goal [00:37:47] I [00:37:47] think [00:37:47] mine [00:37:48] was [00:37:48] more [00:37:49] from [00:37:50] growing up [00:37:52] going to [00:37:53] high school [00:37:54] thinking [00:37:54] I'm going [00:37:54] to go [00:37:55] maybe a [00:37:55] different [00:37:56] career path [00:37:57] still in [00:37:57] healthcare [00:37:57] so it [00:37:58] always [00:37:58] tied back [00:37:58] together [00:37:59] in [00:37:59] college [00:38:00] thinking [00:38:01] engineering [00:38:02] seems [00:38:02] interesting [00:38:03] first [00:38:03] started [00:38:04] in [00:38:04] biomedical [00:38:04] engineering [00:38:05] and [00:38:05] mechanical [00:38:06] engineering [00:38:07] and [00:38:08] also [00:38:08] comboing [00:38:09] that [00:38:09] with [00:38:10] public [00:38:10] health [00:38:10] I [00:38:11] think [00:38:11] the [00:38:11] cross [00:38:11] discipline [00:38:12] piece [00:38:12] was [00:38:13] what [00:38:14] I [00:38:14] enjoyed [00:38:14] and [00:38:15] even [00:38:15] during [00:38:16] the [00:38:16] master's [00:38:18] in [00:38:18] public [00:38:18] health [00:38:18] I [00:38:18] would [00:38:21] go [00:38:21] down [00:38:21] quite [00:38:22] frequently [00:38:22] to [00:38:23] the [00:38:24] business [00:38:24] school [00:38:24] and [00:38:26] again [00:38:26] on that [00:38:27] VC [00:38:28] side [00:38:28] this [00:38:28] is [00:38:28] the [00:38:28] most [00:38:29] probably [00:38:29] interesting [00:38:29] this [00:38:30] is a [00:38:30] known [00:38:30] story [00:38:30] on my [00:38:31] side [00:38:31] so [00:38:31] it's [00:38:31] something [00:38:31] that I [00:38:33] don't [00:38:33] share [00:38:33] but [00:38:34] one [00:38:35] of the [00:38:35] professors [00:38:35] and I [00:38:36] just [00:38:36] ran [00:38:36] leave [00:38:37] to [00:38:37] a [00:38:37] course [00:38:37] how [00:38:37] to [00:38:37] launch [00:38:38] your [00:38:38] startup [00:38:39] it was [00:38:40] a [00:38:40] cross [00:38:41] discipline [00:38:41] course [00:38:41] and this [00:38:42] was [00:38:42] probably [00:38:42] going to [00:38:42] tie it [00:38:42] together [00:38:43] a [00:38:43] little [00:38:43] bit [00:38:43] more [00:38:43] during [00:38:44] that [00:38:44] time [00:38:45] at [00:38:45] Columbia [00:38:45] on [00:38:46] their [00:38:46] public [00:38:47] health [00:38:47] school [00:38:47] and [00:38:48] this [00:38:48] cross [00:38:48] course [00:38:49] had [00:38:49] people [00:38:50] from [00:38:50] engineering [00:38:50] from [00:38:51] their [00:38:51] law [00:38:52] school [00:38:52] from [00:38:52] medical [00:38:53] school [00:38:53] from [00:38:53] their [00:38:53] business [00:38:54] school [00:38:54] obviously [00:38:54] and [00:38:55] the [00:38:56] professor [00:38:57] there [00:38:57] who [00:38:58] was [00:38:59] now [00:39:00] over [00:39:00] at [00:39:00] Contour [00:39:02] Venture [00:39:02] Partners [00:39:02] but was [00:39:03] a kind [00:39:03] of [00:39:03] early [00:39:04] NYC [00:39:05] seed [00:39:05] investor [00:39:06] Owen [00:39:07] was [00:39:08] basically [00:39:09] an [00:39:09] adjunct [00:39:10] teaching [00:39:10] the [00:39:10] course [00:39:10] and [00:39:11] that's [00:39:11] when [00:39:12] we [00:39:12] went [00:39:12] in [00:39:12] and [00:39:12] I [00:39:13] was [00:39:13] like [00:39:13] well [00:39:13] let [00:39:13] me [00:39:13] just [00:39:13] you [00:39:14] know [00:39:14] the [00:39:14] first [00:39:14] start [00:39:15] of [00:39:15] that [00:39:15] course [00:39:15] was [00:39:15] pick [00:39:16] any [00:39:16] random [00:39:16] capability [00:39:18] product [00:39:18] feature [00:39:19] you [00:39:19] think [00:39:19] is [00:39:19] interesting [00:39:19] and [00:39:20] try [00:39:20] to [00:39:20] think [00:39:20] ! [00:39:23] What [00:39:24] eventually [00:39:25] turned [00:39:25] into [00:39:25] that [00:39:26] medical [00:39:27] device [00:39:27] startup [00:39:28] company [00:39:28] which [00:39:29] we [00:39:29] had [00:39:29] called [00:39:29] Heuristics [00:39:30] Health [00:39:30] which [00:39:30] was [00:39:30] like [00:39:31] let [00:39:31] me [00:39:31] create [00:39:31] some [00:39:31] IoT [00:39:32] wireless [00:39:34] device [00:39:35] and [00:39:35] I [00:39:35] thought [00:39:36] blood [00:39:37] pressure [00:39:37] systems [00:39:38] a lot [00:39:38] of [00:39:38] the [00:39:38] healthcare [00:39:38] side [00:39:39] from [00:39:39] that [00:39:39] background [00:39:40] and [00:39:40] knowing [00:39:40] the [00:39:40] engineering [00:39:40] background [00:39:41] very [00:39:42] clunky [00:39:42] bigger [00:39:42] devices [00:39:43] that [00:39:43] I'm [00:39:44] not [00:39:44] talking [00:39:44] about [00:39:44] ones [00:39:45] you [00:39:45] would [00:39:45] put [00:39:45] on [00:39:45] your [00:39:46] cuff [00:39:46] and [00:39:46] basically [00:39:47] have [00:39:47] more [00:39:47] from [00:39:48] pressure [00:39:48] blow [00:39:49] it [00:39:49] up [00:39:49] and [00:39:49] listen [00:39:50] to [00:39:50] it [00:39:50] these [00:39:50] are [00:39:51] ones [00:39:51] that [00:39:51] they [00:39:51] want [00:39:51] to [00:39:51] automate [00:39:52] to [00:39:52] have [00:39:52] multiple [00:39:52] cuffs [00:39:53] on [00:39:53] you [00:39:53] and [00:39:54] I [00:39:54] thought [00:39:54] this [00:39:54] is [00:39:54] ripe [00:39:55] for [00:39:55] some [00:39:55] big [00:39:56] big [00:39:56] machine [00:39:56] like [00:39:57] almost [00:39:57] a [00:39:57] fridge [00:39:58] with [00:39:58] multiple [00:39:59] massive [00:40:01] tubes [00:40:01] out [00:40:01] of [00:40:01] it [00:40:01] that [00:40:02] you [00:40:02] put [00:40:02] on [00:40:02] four [00:40:03] sides [00:40:03] both [00:40:04] arms [00:40:04] both [00:40:05] legs [00:40:05] and [00:40:06] I [00:40:06] was [00:40:06] looking [00:40:06] at [00:40:06] that [00:40:06] always [00:40:07] in [00:40:07] a [00:40:07] different [00:40:07] capacity [00:40:08] of [00:40:08] engineering [00:40:08] thinking [00:40:08] this [00:40:09] is [00:40:09] ripe [00:40:09] for [00:40:09] we [00:40:10] have [00:40:10] smaller [00:40:10] batteries [00:40:11] we [00:40:11] can [00:40:11] use [00:40:12] asymmetric [00:40:13] or [00:40:13] auditory [00:40:14] so [00:40:15] pressure [00:40:15] and [00:40:15] sound [00:40:16] capabilities [00:40:17] of [00:40:17] determining [00:40:17] blood [00:40:18] pressure [00:40:18] and [00:40:19] so [00:40:19] we [00:40:19] can [00:40:20] shrink [00:40:20] it [00:40:20] we [00:40:20] can [00:40:21] make [00:40:21] it [00:40:21] wireless [00:40:22] we [00:40:22] can [00:40:22] create [00:40:23] a [00:40:23] battery [00:40:23] on [00:40:23] there [00:40:23] that [00:40:23] have [00:40:23] a [00:40:24] longer [00:40:24] life [00:40:24] cycle [00:40:25] and [00:40:25] if [00:40:27] you're [00:40:27] moving [00:40:27] patients [00:40:28] from [00:40:29] an [00:40:29] accident [00:40:29] into [00:40:30] surgery [00:40:30] you [00:40:30] might [00:40:30] want [00:40:30] to [00:40:31] be [00:40:31] checking [00:40:31] bilaterally [00:40:31] because [00:40:32] obviously [00:40:32] you [00:40:33] have [00:40:33] a [00:40:33] blockage [00:40:34] and [00:40:34] your [00:40:35] blood [00:40:35] pressure [00:40:35] is [00:40:35] way [00:40:36] off [00:40:36] on [00:40:36] one [00:40:36] arm [00:40:37] than [00:40:37] the [00:40:38] other [00:40:38] it [00:40:38] got [00:40:40] that [00:40:40] idea [00:40:41] and [00:40:41] said [00:40:41] maybe [00:40:41] I [00:40:41] can [00:40:41] make [00:40:42] it [00:40:42] into [00:40:42] a [00:40:42] company [00:40:42] and [00:40:43] through [00:40:43] that [00:40:43] four [00:40:44] month [00:40:44] just [00:40:45] one [00:40:45] course [00:40:46] got to [00:40:46] know [00:40:47] that [00:40:47] individual [00:40:47] and [00:40:48] I [00:40:49] would [00:40:49] say [00:40:49] between [00:40:50] that [00:40:51] and [00:40:51] 2015 [00:40:51] 2017 [00:40:52] almost [00:40:52] a [00:40:52] two [00:40:53] year [00:40:53] period [00:40:53] he [00:40:53] was [00:40:53] always [00:40:54] like [00:40:54] hey [00:40:54] if [00:40:54] you [00:40:54] have [00:40:54] a [00:40:54] company [00:40:55] idea [00:40:55] I'm [00:40:56] the [00:40:56] first [00:40:56] person [00:40:56] you [00:40:57] should [00:40:57] call [00:40:57] so [00:40:58] that [00:40:58] was [00:40:58] the [00:40:58] first [00:40:58] person [00:40:59] I [00:40:59] called [00:40:59] once [00:41:00] we [00:41:00] got [00:41:01] a [00:41:02] bold [00:41:03] idea [00:41:03] which [00:41:03] he [00:41:04] he [00:41:04] appreciated [00:41:04] the [00:41:05] conversions [00:41:05] between [00:41:06] this [00:41:06] medical [00:41:06] device [00:41:07] and [00:41:07] saying [00:41:07] now [00:41:07] you're [00:41:07] going [00:41:07] to [00:41:07] solve [00:41:08] a [00:41:08] big [00:41:08] cyber [00:41:09] security [00:41:09] challenge [00:41:10] and [00:41:10] looking [00:41:10] at [00:41:11] our [00:41:11] founding [00:41:11] team [00:41:12] and [00:41:12] saying [00:41:12] you [00:41:12] know [00:41:12] you're [00:41:13] not [00:41:13] ones [00:41:13] that [00:41:13] have [00:41:13] maybe [00:41:14] 5, [00:41:15] 10, [00:41:15] 15 [00:41:15] years [00:41:15] of [00:41:16] experience [00:41:16] doing [00:41:17] this [00:41:17] but [00:41:17] it [00:41:17] seems [00:41:17] like [00:41:17] you're [00:41:18] identifying [00:41:19] a [00:41:19] true [00:41:19] problem [00:41:20] and [00:41:21] it [00:41:21] hasn't [00:41:21] been [00:41:21] adequately [00:41:22] solved [00:41:22] and [00:41:23] built [00:41:24] upon [00:41:24] especially [00:41:24] back [00:41:25] then [00:41:25] and [00:41:26] gave [00:41:26] it [00:41:27] a [00:41:27] shot [00:41:27] you [00:41:28] know [00:41:34] we [00:41:34] can [00:41:35] do [00:41:35] it [00:41:35] like [00:41:35] three [00:41:36] folks [00:41:37] we're [00:41:37] thinking [00:41:38] we can [00:41:38] solve [00:41:38] anything [00:41:39] almost [00:41:39] I think [00:41:40] our [00:41:40] first [00:41:40] pitch [00:41:40] we [00:41:41] literally [00:41:41] said [00:41:41] if you [00:41:42] just [00:41:42] give [00:41:42] us [00:41:42] our [00:41:43] CTO [00:41:44] was [00:41:44] like [00:41:44] I [00:41:45] can [00:41:45] solve [00:41:45] and [00:41:46] build [00:41:46] this [00:41:46] whole [00:41:46] thing [00:41:46] in [00:41:47] six [00:41:47] months [00:41:48] I [00:41:49] think [00:41:49] almost [00:41:50] the [00:41:50] VCs [00:41:51] left [00:41:51] the [00:41:51] room [00:41:51] like [00:41:51] wow [00:41:52] that's [00:41:52] a [00:41:52] bold [00:41:53] claim [00:41:53] from [00:41:54] a lot [00:41:56] of [00:41:56] these [00:41:56] network [00:41:57] security [00:41:57] companies [00:41:57] but [00:41:58] that [00:41:58] type [00:41:59] of [00:41:59] vision [00:41:59] he [00:42:00] had [00:42:00] was [00:42:00] an [00:42:01] ! [00:42:01] interesting [00:42:01] one [00:42:01] and [00:42:02] he [00:42:02] pretty [00:42:03] much [00:42:03] did [00:42:03] it [00:42:04] maybe [00:42:04] it [00:42:04] took [00:42:04] nine [00:42:05] months [00:42:05] but [00:42:06] that [00:42:07] was [00:42:07] our [00:42:07] initial [00:42:07] prototype [00:42:09] and [00:42:09] everything [00:42:09] going [00:42:09] through [00:42:10] without [00:42:10] any [00:42:11] context [00:42:12] of [00:42:12] having [00:42:12] formed [00:42:13] a [00:42:13] company [00:42:13] on [00:42:13] this [00:42:13] side [00:42:14] before [00:42:14] and [00:42:15] the [00:42:15] other [00:42:15] founder [00:42:15] was [00:42:15] from [00:42:16] finance [00:42:18] in [00:42:19] investment [00:42:20] banking [00:42:20] so [00:42:20] that's [00:42:21] an [00:42:22] interesting [00:42:22] cohort [00:42:22] to put [00:42:24] together [00:42:24] always [00:42:26] a good [00:42:26] person [00:42:27] to have [00:42:27] on [00:42:27] your [00:42:27] team [00:42:27] I [00:42:28] love [00:42:28] that [00:42:29] story [00:42:29] that's [00:42:29] amazing [00:42:29] and that [00:42:30] helped [00:42:31] me [00:42:31] piece [00:42:32] together [00:42:32] how [00:42:32] did [00:42:32] you [00:42:32] go [00:42:32] from [00:42:33] here [00:42:33] to [00:42:33] here [00:42:33] and [00:42:34] I [00:42:35] love [00:42:35] that [00:42:35] you [00:42:35] took [00:42:36] a [00:42:36] class [00:42:36] there [00:42:37] was [00:42:37] offered [00:42:38] how [00:42:38] to [00:42:38] do [00:42:38] a [00:42:38] startup [00:42:39] I [00:42:39] mean [00:42:39] that's [00:42:39] amazing [00:42:40] to me [00:42:40] that's [00:42:40] even [00:42:40] available [00:42:41] now [00:42:42] in [00:42:42] the [00:42:42] curriculum [00:42:43] in [00:42:43] our [00:42:44] schools [00:42:44] so [00:42:45] that's [00:42:45] one [00:42:47] thing [00:42:47] I [00:42:47] did [00:42:47] want [00:42:48] to [00:42:48] hit [00:42:48] on [00:42:48] if [00:42:48] it's [00:42:48] of [00:42:48] interest [00:42:49] I [00:42:49] mean [00:42:50] I [00:42:50] think [00:42:50] and [00:42:51] you [00:42:52] know [00:42:52] I [00:42:52] think [00:42:52] that [00:42:53] VC [00:42:53] side [00:42:53] if [00:42:54] I [00:42:54] even [00:42:54] some [00:42:54] of [00:43:24] that [00:43:25] market [00:43:28] and [00:43:29] how [00:43:29] it's [00:43:29] developed [00:43:30] but [00:43:30] I [00:43:30] think [00:43:30] there [00:43:31] is [00:43:31] something [00:43:31] to [00:43:31] say [00:43:31] about [00:43:32] persistence [00:43:34] and [00:43:34] broad [00:43:35] ambition [00:43:36] and [00:43:36] you [00:43:37] hopefully [00:43:38] have [00:43:38] someone [00:43:39] that [00:43:39] believes [00:43:39] in [00:43:40] that [00:43:40] too [00:43:40] with [00:43:41] a [00:43:41] little [00:43:41] proof [00:43:41] in [00:43:41] the [00:43:41] pudding [00:43:41] but [00:43:42] when [00:43:42] you're [00:43:43] thinking [00:43:44] about [00:43:44] it [00:43:44] from [00:43:44] a [00:43:44] power [00:43:44] foreign [00:43:44] idea [00:43:45] it [00:43:45] is [00:43:46] something [00:43:46] more [00:43:47] of [00:43:47] the [00:43:47] ambition [00:43:48] of [00:43:48] the [00:43:49] dedication [00:43:49] of [00:43:49] the [00:43:49] team [00:43:50] so [00:43:51] I [00:43:53] think [00:43:53] there [00:43:53] is [00:43:53] Some [00:43:54] of [00:43:54] these [00:43:54] folks [00:43:54] that [00:43:54] they [00:43:54] look [00:43:54] on [00:43:55] from [00:43:55] the [00:43:55] VC [00:43:55] side [00:43:55] and [00:43:56] say [00:43:56] do [00:43:56] you [00:43:56] think [00:43:56] this [00:43:56] team [00:43:57] can [00:43:57] do [00:43:57] it [00:43:57] I [00:43:57] think [00:43:57] if [00:43:57] you're [00:43:58] ambitious [00:43:59] enough [00:43:59] and [00:43:59] driven [00:43:59] there [00:44:00] there's [00:44:01] some [00:44:01] effect [00:44:01] to [00:44:01] want [00:44:02] to [00:44:02] let [00:44:03] that [00:44:03] sprout [00:44:03] and [00:44:03] see [00:44:03] what [00:44:03] happens [00:44:04] well [00:44:06] agreed [00:44:06] and [00:44:07] also [00:44:07] I [00:44:07] think [00:44:07] you [00:44:07] mentioned [00:44:08] earlier [00:44:08] when [00:44:08] someone [00:44:08] asked [00:44:09] your [00:44:09] hobby [00:44:09] I [00:44:10] think [00:44:10] that [00:44:10] for [00:44:11] a [00:44:11] lot [00:44:11] of [00:44:12] founders [00:44:12] when [00:44:12] they're [00:44:13] pursuing [00:44:13] that [00:44:14] route [00:44:14] this [00:44:15] does [00:44:15] have [00:44:15] to [00:44:15] be [00:44:24] I [00:44:24] drilled [00:44:25] into [00:44:25] how [00:44:27] did [00:44:27] you [00:44:27] get [00:44:27] from [00:44:27] Bethlehem [00:44:28] Pennsylvania [00:44:28] I [00:44:29] love [00:44:29] the [00:44:29] fact [00:44:29] that's [00:44:30] a [00:44:30] cool [00:44:30] name [00:44:30] of [00:44:30] a [00:44:31] town [00:44:31] Bethlehem [00:44:33] Pennsylvania [00:44:33] in [00:44:34] Freedom [00:44:34] High [00:44:34] School [00:44:34] I [00:44:35] think [00:44:35] that's [00:44:35] amazing [00:44:35] there's [00:44:36] a [00:44:36] whole [00:44:37] little [00:44:37] rom-com [00:44:38] that [00:44:38] could [00:44:38] happen [00:44:39] between [00:44:39] those [00:44:39] two [00:44:39] high [00:44:39] schools [00:44:40] I [00:44:41] love [00:44:41] it [00:44:41] anyway [00:44:43] I [00:44:44] don't [00:44:48] know [00:44:48] where [00:44:48] you live [00:44:49] but [00:44:49] you [00:44:49] have [00:44:49] to [00:44:49] go [00:44:50] ! [00:44:54] I [00:44:55] live [00:44:55] in [00:44:55] a [00:44:55] town [00:44:56] that [00:44:56] has [00:44:56] similar [00:44:57] naming [00:44:59] stuff [00:45:00] where [00:45:00] I [00:45:01] live [00:45:01] now [00:45:01] I [00:45:01] don't [00:45:01] really [00:45:02] want [00:45:02] to [00:45:02] say [00:45:02] it [00:45:02] here [00:45:02] but [00:45:02] that's [00:45:03] why [00:45:03] I [00:45:03] was [00:45:03] tickled [00:45:04] by [00:45:04] it [00:45:04] because [00:45:05] we [00:45:05] have [00:45:05] things [00:45:06] that [00:45:06] are [00:45:06] very [00:45:06] themed [00:45:07] around [00:45:07] the [00:45:08] town [00:45:08] I [00:45:08] grew [00:45:08] up [00:45:09] in [00:45:09] and [00:45:09] I [00:45:10] live [00:45:10] in [00:45:10] now [00:45:10] so [00:45:11] anyway [00:45:11] with [00:45:11] that [00:45:12] thank [00:45:12] you [00:45:12] for [00:45:12] diving [00:45:13] through [00:45:14] that [00:45:14] with [00:45:14] me [00:45:15] but [00:45:15] then [00:45:15] also [00:45:15] the [00:45:16] VC [00:45:17] piece [00:45:18] and [00:45:18] the [00:45:19] class [00:45:19] you [00:45:19] took [00:45:24] that's [00:45:24] really [00:45:24] interesting [00:45:25] to [00:45:25] me [00:45:25] so [00:45:26] yeah [00:45:26] thank [00:45:26] you [00:45:26] for [00:45:27] that [00:45:27] and [00:45:27] with [00:45:28] that [00:45:28] though [00:45:28] I [00:45:28] want [00:45:29] to [00:45:29] pass [00:45:29] it [00:45:29] over [00:45:29] to [00:45:30] Lisa [00:45:30] Beth [00:45:30] I [00:45:31] know [00:45:31] she [00:45:31] has [00:45:31] a [00:45:31] question [00:45:32] that [00:45:32] she's [00:45:32] waiting [00:45:32] to [00:45:32] ask [00:45:33] as [00:45:33] well [00:45:33] so [00:45:33] thank [00:45:33] you [00:45:33] yeah [00:45:35] well [00:45:36] thanks [00:45:36] for [00:45:37] all [00:45:37] of [00:45:37] the [00:45:37] updates [00:45:38] so [00:45:38] far [00:45:38] I'm [00:45:38] going [00:45:39] to [00:45:39] do [00:45:39] a [00:45:39] quick [00:45:39] room [00:45:40] reset [00:45:40] here [00:45:41] everyone [00:45:41] because [00:45:42] we [00:45:42] have [00:45:43] already [00:45:43] half [00:45:43] an [00:45:43] hour [00:45:44] into [00:45:44] our [00:45:45] discussion [00:45:45] with [00:45:45] him [00:45:46] but [00:45:54] join [00:45:54] the [00:45:54] club [00:45:55] start [00:45:55] finding [00:45:56] out [00:45:57] when [00:45:57] we [00:45:57] are [00:45:57] doing [00:45:58] our [00:45:58] events [00:45:59] they [00:45:59] happen [00:46:00] to be [00:46:00] every [00:46:01] Wednesday [00:46:01] at [00:46:02] about [00:46:02] this [00:46:02] time [00:46:03] so [00:46:03] you [00:46:04] can [00:46:04] put it [00:46:04] on [00:46:04] your [00:46:04] calendar [00:46:05] as [00:46:06] a [00:46:06] save [00:46:06] the [00:46:07] date [00:46:07] for [00:46:07] your [00:46:08] weekly [00:46:08] inspiration [00:46:11] and [00:46:12] discussion [00:46:13] and [00:46:13] networking [00:46:13] so [00:46:15] let [00:46:16] me [00:46:16] ask [00:46:16] the [00:46:16] question [00:46:17] being [00:46:18] an [00:46:18] entrepreneur [00:46:19] myself [00:46:19] one [00:46:20] of [00:46:20] the [00:46:20] questions [00:46:20] I [00:46:21] was [00:46:21] asked [00:46:21] recently [00:46:22] was [00:46:23] what [00:46:24] did [00:46:25] you [00:46:25] learn [00:46:26] during [00:46:27] the [00:46:28] early [00:46:28] phases [00:46:29] of [00:46:29] your [00:46:29] entrepreneurship [00:46:30] journey [00:46:31] that [00:46:31] you [00:46:32] didn't [00:46:32] expect [00:46:33] or [00:46:34] where [00:46:34] you [00:46:34] had [00:46:35] to [00:46:35] make [00:46:35] significant [00:46:36] changes [00:46:37] to [00:46:37] what [00:46:37] you [00:46:38] were [00:46:38] planning [00:46:38] to [00:46:38] do [00:46:39] it's [00:46:42] always [00:46:42] many [00:46:44] things [00:46:44] I feel [00:46:44] like I [00:46:44] can hit [00:46:45] on [00:46:45] that [00:46:45] I [00:46:45] mean [00:46:45] I [00:46:46] think [00:46:46] the [00:46:46] most [00:46:46] crucial [00:46:47] for [00:46:48] myself [00:46:48] was [00:46:49] probably [00:46:50] when [00:46:50] we [00:46:50] went [00:46:50] from [00:46:51] three [00:46:52] founders [00:46:52] and [00:46:54] hiring [00:46:55] they [00:46:56] always [00:46:56] say [00:46:56] this [00:46:56] even [00:46:56] if [00:46:56] you [00:46:57] go [00:46:57] from [00:46:57] five [00:46:57] folks [00:46:58] on [00:46:59] the [00:46:59] team [00:46:59] to [00:46:59] 10 [00:47:00] to [00:47:00] 20 [00:47:00] to [00:47:00] 30 [00:47:01] and [00:47:01] as [00:47:01] it [00:47:02] gets [00:47:02] bigger [00:47:02] it's [00:47:02] different [00:47:03] types [00:47:03] of [00:47:03] challenges [00:47:03] almost [00:47:05] having [00:47:05] multiple [00:47:07] hats [00:47:07] to [00:47:07] realize [00:47:08] I [00:47:09] have [00:47:09] to [00:47:09] almost [00:47:09] be [00:47:09] on [00:47:11] the [00:47:11] HR [00:47:12] side [00:47:12] on [00:47:13] the [00:47:13] people [00:47:13] side [00:47:14] on [00:47:14] dealing [00:47:15] with [00:47:16] different [00:47:16] types [00:47:16] of [00:47:16] personalities [00:47:17] where [00:47:17] there's [00:47:18] a lot [00:47:18] of [00:47:19] especially [00:47:20] the [00:47:20] first [00:47:20] group [00:47:21] that [00:47:21] we [00:47:21] hired [00:47:21] were [00:47:21] all [00:47:21] engineers [00:47:22] and [00:47:23] more [00:47:23] technical [00:47:24] folks [00:47:24] and [00:47:25] I [00:47:25] didn't [00:47:25] realize [00:47:25] it's [00:47:27] back to [00:47:27] my [00:47:27] origin [00:47:28] story [00:47:28] on [00:47:28] getting [00:47:29] smarter [00:47:30] people [00:47:31] and [00:47:31] making [00:47:31] sure [00:47:31] that [00:47:32] competing [00:47:32] smart [00:47:34] folks [00:47:34] that can [00:47:35] bring [00:47:35] something [00:47:36] don't [00:47:36] sink the [00:47:37] ship [00:47:37] from being [00:47:38] too [00:47:38] competitive [00:47:39] and not [00:47:39] want to [00:47:40] do a [00:47:40] certain [00:47:40] way [00:47:41] and even [00:47:41] with a [00:47:41] leader [00:47:42] on the [00:47:42] technical [00:47:42] side [00:47:43] everyone [00:47:43] has a [00:47:44] different [00:47:44] way [00:47:44] of [00:47:45] thinking [00:47:45] and [00:47:45] I [00:47:46] think [00:47:46] that [00:47:46] was [00:47:46] the [00:47:46] most [00:47:46] challenging [00:47:47] in the [00:47:48] first [00:47:48] year [00:47:48] when [00:47:48] we [00:47:49] started [00:47:49] bringing [00:47:49] on [00:47:49] new [00:47:50] people [00:47:50] and [00:47:50] still [00:47:50] had [00:47:50] a [00:47:51] mission [00:47:51] goal [00:47:52] of [00:47:52] saying [00:47:52] hey [00:47:52] we [00:47:52] have [00:47:53] to be [00:47:53] able [00:47:53] to [00:47:54] produce [00:47:54] something [00:47:54] here [00:47:55] in the [00:47:55] end [00:47:55] not in [00:47:57] a full [00:47:57] commercial [00:47:58] side [00:47:58] but [00:47:58] from a [00:47:59] production [00:47:59] side [00:48:00] and [00:48:00] certainly [00:48:01] on the [00:48:01] healthcare [00:48:02] market [00:48:03] different [00:48:04] than [00:48:04] maybe [00:48:04] if it [00:48:04] was [00:48:05] certainly [00:48:06] different [00:48:06] than [00:48:07] B2C [00:48:07] business [00:48:08] consumer [00:48:08] side [00:48:09] and [00:48:09] B2B [00:48:09] that [00:48:09] might be [00:48:10] you're [00:48:10] applying [00:48:11] to the [00:48:15] bring [00:48:15] a [00:48:16] product [00:48:16] like [00:48:17] this [00:48:17] and [00:48:17] have [00:48:18] something [00:48:19] go [00:48:20] wrong [00:48:20] in [00:48:21] any [00:48:21] capacity [00:48:21] and [00:48:21] I [00:48:21] think [00:48:22] that's [00:48:22] a [00:48:23] quick [00:48:23] way [00:48:23] of [00:48:23] ending [00:48:24] the [00:48:24] opportunity [00:48:25] so [00:48:25] I [00:48:25] think [00:48:26] that [00:48:26] was [00:48:27] the [00:48:28] biggest [00:48:28] challenge [00:48:29] for [00:48:29] myself [00:48:31] where [00:48:31] you [00:48:31] think [00:48:31] you [00:48:32] have [00:48:32] yourself [00:48:32] and [00:48:33] a [00:48:33] whole [00:48:33] new [00:48:34] emerging [00:48:34] team [00:48:35] that [00:48:35] also [00:48:35] those [00:48:36] individuals [00:48:36] have [00:48:36] family [00:48:37] and [00:48:37] kids [00:48:37] and [00:48:38] a [00:48:38] whole [00:48:39] different [00:48:39] array [00:48:40] of [00:48:40] backgrounds [00:48:40] to [00:48:40] almost [00:48:42] feel [00:48:42] like [00:48:42] this [00:48:42] is [00:48:42] a [00:48:42] family [00:48:43] in [00:48:43] the [00:48:43] beginning [00:48:43] I [00:48:43] know [00:49:13] founders [00:49:14] and [00:49:14] I [00:49:14] found [00:49:15] that [00:49:15] multiple [00:49:15] companies [00:49:15] I [00:49:16] think [00:49:16] as I [00:49:16] looked [00:49:16] to talk [00:49:17] with [00:49:17] some [00:49:17] of [00:49:17] those [00:49:17] mentors [00:49:18] and [00:49:18] stuff [00:49:18] they [00:49:18] said [00:49:18] oh [00:49:18] yeah [00:49:19] no one [00:49:20] gave [00:49:20] you [00:49:20] that [00:49:20] forewarning [00:49:21] that's [00:49:21] always [00:49:21] the [00:49:21] untold [00:49:23] kind [00:49:24] of [00:49:24] fun [00:49:25] and [00:49:25] challenging [00:49:26] piece [00:49:26] in the [00:49:26] beginning [00:49:26] is [00:49:27] just [00:49:27] people [00:49:28] and [00:49:28] dealing [00:49:29] with [00:49:29] different [00:49:29] personalities [00:49:29] to make [00:49:30] something [00:49:30] happen [00:49:31] from [00:49:31] truly [00:49:32] nothing [00:49:32] in [00:49:32] the [00:49:32] beginning [00:49:33] and [00:49:33] looking [00:49:34] back [00:49:35] on [00:49:35] it [00:49:35] certainly [00:49:36] for [00:49:36] new [00:49:37] founders [00:49:37] that [00:49:37] are [00:49:37] going [00:49:37] to [00:49:37] start [00:49:43] little [00:49:44] things [00:49:44] I [00:49:45] think [00:49:45] sometimes [00:49:46] that [00:49:46] can [00:49:46] cause [00:49:46] extra [00:49:47] late [00:49:48] nights [00:49:48] yes [00:49:51] I [00:49:51] couldn't [00:49:52] agree [00:49:53] more [00:49:53] and [00:49:54] then [00:49:54] the [00:49:55] other [00:49:55] question [00:49:55] I [00:49:55] had [00:49:55] for [00:49:55] you [00:49:56] is [00:49:56] what [00:49:57] motivates [00:49:57] you [00:49:58] as [00:49:58] a [00:50:00] founder [00:50:00] like [00:50:01] what [00:50:01] keeps [00:50:02] you [00:50:02] going [00:50:02] when [00:50:03] things [00:50:03] get [00:50:03] difficult [00:50:04] I [00:50:07] like [00:50:08] I [00:50:08] mean [00:50:08] it's [00:50:09] always [00:50:09] I [00:50:09] think [00:50:09] in [00:50:09] the [00:50:10] beginning [00:50:11] before [00:50:11] we [00:50:12] kind [00:50:12] of [00:50:12] roll [00:50:13] out [00:50:13] commercially [00:50:14] and [00:50:14] it [00:50:14] was [00:50:14] more [00:50:14] in [00:50:14] the [00:50:14] product [00:50:15] building [00:50:15] that [00:50:15] was [00:50:15] really [00:50:16] a [00:50:16] two [00:50:16] year [00:50:16] period [00:50:17] I [00:50:17] think [00:50:17] the [00:50:17] motivation [00:50:18] was [00:50:18] to [00:50:19] prove [00:50:19] we [00:50:20] could [00:50:20] do [00:50:20] it [00:50:20] right [00:50:21] to [00:50:21] prove [00:50:21] that [00:50:22] you [00:50:22] set [00:50:22] out [00:50:22] on [00:50:23] this [00:50:23] mission [00:50:23] you [00:50:24] had [00:50:24] an [00:50:24] idea [00:50:24] on [00:50:25] paper [00:50:25] and [00:50:26] you [00:50:26] put [00:50:26] it [00:50:26] into [00:50:26] action [00:50:27] and [00:50:27] for [00:50:27] us [00:50:27] you [00:50:28] know [00:50:28] it's [00:50:29] a [00:50:29] technically [00:50:30] challenging [00:50:31] type [00:50:31] product [00:50:31] there's [00:50:32] you [00:50:33] know [00:50:33] you [00:50:33] have [00:50:33] to [00:50:33] and [00:50:34] I [00:50:34] didn't [00:50:34] get [00:50:34] into [00:50:34] this [00:50:43] there [00:50:43] you [00:50:43] have [00:50:43] to [00:50:43] build [00:50:44] out [00:50:44] the [00:50:44] process [00:50:44] all [00:50:45] this [00:50:45] network [00:50:45] traffic [00:50:46] then [00:50:46] you [00:50:46] have [00:50:46] a [00:50:46] cloud [00:50:47] back [00:50:47] end [00:50:48] to [00:50:48] basically [00:50:48] view [00:50:48] the [00:50:49] dashboard [00:50:49] and [00:50:49] the [00:50:50] analytics [00:50:51] there [00:50:51] and [00:50:51] you [00:50:51] got [00:50:51] to [00:50:51] keep [00:50:52] this [00:50:52] whole [00:50:52] system [00:50:52] flowing [00:50:53] and [00:50:53] it's [00:50:54] not [00:50:54] something [00:50:54] it's [00:50:55] not [00:50:55] to [00:50:56] downplay [00:50:57] on [00:50:57] the [00:50:57] application [00:50:58] side [00:50:58] or [00:50:58] app [00:50:58] but [00:50:58] there's [00:50:59] a [00:50:59] lot [00:50:59] of [00:51:00] points [00:51:00] of [00:51:00] failure [00:51:00] and [00:51:02] big [00:51:03] network [00:51:03] security [00:51:04] companies [00:51:04] have [00:51:04] massive [00:51:05] teams [00:51:05] lots [00:51:06] of [00:51:06] engineers [00:51:06] lots [00:51:07] of [00:51:07] support [00:51:08] behind [00:51:08] the [00:51:08] scenes [00:51:08] and [00:51:09] even [00:51:10] then [00:51:10] it [00:51:10] can [00:51:10] be [00:51:10] very [00:51:11] challenging [00:51:11] so [00:51:11] I [00:51:11] think [00:51:12] the [00:51:13] motivation [00:51:14] was [00:51:14] to [00:51:14] prove [00:51:15] that [00:51:15] we [00:51:15] could [00:51:15] do [00:51:15] it [00:51:15] especially [00:51:16] with [00:51:16] the [00:51:16] background [00:51:16] that [00:51:17] maybe [00:51:17] some [00:51:18] looked [00:51:18] at [00:51:18] and [00:51:19] said [00:51:19] can [00:51:19] this [00:51:19] team [00:51:19] pull [00:51:20] it [00:51:20] off [00:51:20] it's [00:51:21] not [00:51:21] like [00:51:21] they [00:51:21] founded [00:51:21] multiple [00:51:22] teams [00:51:22] or [00:51:22] have [00:51:23] multiple [00:51:23] years [00:51:24] of [00:51:24] experience [00:51:24] at [00:51:25] larger [00:51:25] security [00:51:26] or [00:51:26] IT [00:51:26] companies [00:51:27] and [00:51:27] so [00:51:27] I [00:51:27] think [00:51:28] that [00:51:28] was [00:51:28] 100% [00:51:29] the [00:51:29] motivating [00:51:30] factor [00:51:30] in [00:51:30] the [00:51:30] first [00:51:31] two [00:51:32] two [00:51:32] and a [00:51:32] half [00:51:32] years [00:51:32] of [00:51:33] the [00:51:33] business [00:51:33] and [00:51:34] then [00:51:34] once [00:51:34] we [00:51:34] started [00:51:35] going [00:51:35] out [00:51:35] into [00:51:35] the [00:51:36] market [00:51:36] in [00:51:37] 2020 [00:51:37] the [00:51:39] motivation [00:51:40] was [00:51:41] we're [00:51:42] solving [00:51:42] a [00:51:43] very [00:51:43] important [00:51:43] thing [00:51:43] here [00:51:43] there's [00:51:45] a [00:51:45] safety [00:51:47] and [00:51:47] patient [00:51:47] safety [00:51:48] and [00:51:48] it's [00:51:50] not [00:51:50] just [00:51:50] a [00:51:50] thing [00:51:50] that's [00:51:51] protecting [00:51:52] on [00:51:53] the [00:51:55] financial [00:51:55] side [00:51:56] there's [00:51:56] a [00:51:57] tangible [00:51:57] piece [00:51:57] you [00:51:58] could [00:51:58] feel [00:51:58] and [00:51:58] even [00:51:58] the [00:51:58] whole [00:51:59] team [00:51:59] now [00:52:00] that [00:52:00] we [00:52:00] have [00:52:00] and [00:52:00] such [00:52:01] feels [00:52:01] the [00:52:01] same [00:52:01] way [00:52:02] there's [00:52:02] a [00:52:02] mission [00:52:03] driven [00:52:03] there [00:52:03] and [00:52:04] I [00:52:04] think [00:52:04] that [00:52:05] scale [00:52:05] of [00:52:05] trying [00:52:05] to [00:52:06] say [00:52:06] can [00:52:06] we [00:52:06] go [00:52:07] from [00:52:07] in [00:52:07] the [00:52:08] US [00:52:08] to [00:52:08] a [00:52:08] global [00:52:12] side [00:52:12] probably [00:52:13] is still [00:52:14] the [00:52:14] motivating [00:52:14] factor [00:52:15] that [00:52:15] someone [00:52:16] went [00:52:16] to [00:52:17] Freedom [00:52:18] High [00:52:18] School [00:52:18] and [00:52:18] in [00:52:19] there [00:52:20] is [00:52:20] able [00:52:20] to [00:52:21] do [00:52:21] something [00:52:21] that [00:52:21] have [00:52:22] a [00:52:22] more [00:52:23] worldwide [00:52:23] impact [00:52:24] and [00:52:25] that's [00:52:25] just [00:52:25] you [00:52:26] can't [00:52:26] beat [00:52:26] the [00:52:26] level [00:52:27] at [00:52:27] least [00:52:27] for [00:52:27] myself [00:52:27] the [00:52:28] fun [00:52:28] motivating [00:52:29] factor [00:52:29] of [00:52:29] wanting [00:52:30] to [00:52:30] do [00:52:30] that [00:52:30] and [00:52:32] that [00:52:32] keeps [00:52:32] it [00:52:33] fun [00:52:34] every [00:52:34] day [00:52:34] waking [00:52:35] up [00:52:35] every [00:52:35] day [00:52:35] and [00:52:35] feeling [00:52:36] that [00:52:36] I [00:52:36] think [00:52:36] even [00:52:37] with [00:52:38] all [00:52:38] the [00:52:38] normal [00:52:39] heartaches [00:52:40] and [00:52:40] headaches [00:52:41] and [00:52:41] other [00:52:42] things [00:52:42] that [00:52:42] deal [00:52:42] with [00:52:42] I [00:52:43] think [00:52:43] there's [00:52:43] a [00:52:44] factor [00:52:44] of [00:52:45] coming [00:52:45] and [00:52:45] knowing [00:52:45] there's [00:52:46] going [00:52:46] to be [00:52:46] a [00:52:46] new [00:52:46] challenge [00:52:47] to [00:52:47] face [00:52:47] time [00:52:50] zone [00:52:50] difference [00:52:50] you're [00:52:50] on [00:52:51] calls [00:52:51] and [00:52:51] folks [00:52:52] in [00:52:52] Australia [00:52:52] and [00:52:53] Thailand [00:52:54] and [00:52:54] different [00:52:54] countries [00:52:55] and [00:52:55] you're [00:52:55] thinking [00:52:56] this is [00:52:57] a global [00:52:57] problem [00:52:58] that has [00:52:59] scale [00:53:00] and you [00:53:00] saw [00:53:00] where [00:53:01] that was [00:53:01] four or [00:53:02] five years [00:53:03] ago [00:53:03] that's [00:53:07] terrific [00:53:08] so I'm [00:53:09] going to [00:53:09] turn it [00:53:09] back over [00:53:10] to [00:53:11] Tomas [00:53:11] great [00:53:13] conversation [00:53:14] so far [00:53:14] thanks [00:53:15] Timur [00:53:16] for [00:53:17] opening [00:53:18] up [00:53:18] and [00:53:18] sharing [00:53:18] a lot [00:53:19] and [00:53:19] I can [00:53:20] tell you [00:53:20] I remember [00:53:21] meeting you [00:53:22] several years [00:53:23] ago [00:53:23] and I had [00:53:24] that thought [00:53:24] man can [00:53:24] these guys [00:53:25] really pull [00:53:25] it off [00:53:26] and you [00:53:27] have been [00:53:28] so it's [00:53:28] kudos to [00:53:29] you and [00:53:29] to your [00:53:30] team [00:53:30] I thought [00:53:31] you were [00:53:32] always at [00:53:33] the tractor [00:53:33] there [00:53:33] Tomas [00:53:34] you were [00:53:34] like hey [00:53:34] I'm going [00:53:35] to bet [00:53:35] against [00:53:35] no [00:53:36] definitely [00:53:39] not betting [00:53:40] against [00:53:40] you guys [00:53:41] for [00:53:42] several [00:53:43] reasons [00:53:43] but [00:53:44] I think [00:53:45] you guys [00:53:46] are definitely [00:53:46] doing good [00:53:46] things [00:53:47] I remember [00:53:48] when we [00:53:50] first chatted [00:53:51] it was [00:53:53] one of [00:53:54] those spaces [00:53:54] where [00:53:55] it probably [00:53:56] doesn't get [00:53:56] a lot of [00:53:57] the attention [00:53:57] when you [00:53:58] think about [00:53:59] startups [00:54:01] a lot of [00:54:02] startups [00:54:02] that I've [00:54:03] come across [00:54:04] sometimes [00:54:04] are focused [00:54:05] on wanting [00:54:07] to meet [00:54:07] with [00:54:08] and work [00:54:09] and engage [00:54:09] with the [00:54:10] big banks [00:54:11] if you will [00:54:11] nothing [00:54:12] against that [00:54:13] you can [00:54:13] obviously [00:54:14] prove out [00:54:16] your solution [00:54:17] and [00:54:18] you guys [00:54:20] were focused [00:54:21] on [00:54:21] the [00:54:22] healthcare [00:54:23] side [00:54:23] which I [00:54:24] think is a [00:54:24] very important [00:54:25] aspect [00:54:25] and completely [00:54:27] not looked [00:54:28] after [00:54:28] and not [00:54:31] hugely [00:54:34] focused on [00:54:36] by some [00:54:36] security [00:54:37] companies [00:54:37] so I think [00:54:38] what you guys [00:54:39] are doing [00:54:39] is very [00:54:39] important [00:54:40] it's very [00:54:40] needed [00:54:41] and there's [00:54:42] obviously [00:54:43] tons of [00:54:45] revenue [00:54:46] potential [00:54:46] in that [00:54:47] space [00:54:47] as well [00:54:47] so [00:54:48] that's [00:54:50] me [00:54:50] outside [00:54:51] looking in [00:54:52] would you [00:54:53] say [00:54:53] Tomas [00:54:53] that [00:54:53] your [00:54:54] view on [00:54:56] that [00:54:56] is [00:54:56] most [00:54:56] start [00:54:57] in a [00:54:58] different [00:54:58] industry [00:54:58] vertical [00:54:59] and then [00:54:59] move into [00:55:00] healthcare [00:55:00] as a [00:55:01] secondary [00:55:02] tertiary [00:55:02] fourth mark [00:55:03] to go [00:55:03] into [00:55:04] because [00:55:04] this [00:55:04] could [00:55:04] be [00:55:05] applicable [00:55:05] depending [00:55:07] on what [00:55:07] their [00:55:07] application [00:55:08] is [00:55:08] of [00:55:09] what [00:55:09] they're [00:55:09] solving [00:55:10] versus [00:55:10] purely [00:55:11] start [00:55:11] and I [00:55:12] think [00:55:12] that's [00:55:12] actually [00:55:12] been [00:55:13] the [00:55:13] message [00:55:14] we've [00:55:14] been [00:55:14] going [00:55:14] with [00:55:14] as we [00:55:15] think [00:55:15] do we [00:55:16] want [00:55:16] to [00:55:16] take [00:55:17] something [00:55:17] that's [00:55:17] looking [00:55:17] at [00:55:17] critical [00:55:18] infrastructure [00:55:18] like [00:55:18] healthcare [00:55:19] and take [00:55:19] it [00:55:19] out [00:55:19] to [00:55:20] energy [00:55:21] or [00:55:21] utilities [00:55:22] or [00:55:22] manufacturing [00:55:23] it [00:55:25] seems [00:55:25] like [00:55:26] if [00:55:26] you [00:55:26] said [00:55:26] hey [00:55:26] I [00:55:26] solved [00:55:27] this [00:55:27] in [00:55:27] this [00:55:27] complex [00:55:27] environment [00:55:28] in [00:55:28] healthcare [00:55:29] with [00:55:29] a [00:55:29] real [00:55:29] tangible [00:55:30] patient [00:55:31] safety [00:55:31] risk [00:55:31] you [00:55:32] can [00:55:32] probably [00:55:33] do [00:55:33] it [00:55:33] there [00:55:33] and [00:55:33] maybe [00:55:34] that's [00:55:34] reverse [00:55:34] of [00:55:34] your [00:55:35] traditional [00:55:35] route [00:55:36] to [00:55:36] many [00:55:37] security [00:55:38] companies [00:55:38] yeah [00:55:39] no [00:55:40] look [00:55:40] I [00:55:40] think [00:55:41] you're [00:55:41] right [00:55:42] I [00:55:42] think [00:55:43] I've [00:55:43] definitely [00:55:44] seen [00:55:44] and [00:55:45] others [00:55:46] can [00:55:46] chime [00:55:46] in [00:55:46] as [00:55:46] well [00:55:47] but [00:55:47] we've [00:55:47] definitely [00:55:47] seen [00:55:47] across [00:55:48] the [00:55:48] industry [00:55:48] that [00:55:50] scenario [00:55:51] where [00:55:51] you [00:55:52] start [00:55:52] one [00:55:52] location [00:55:53] you [00:55:53] build [00:55:53] out [00:55:53] to [00:55:53] other [00:55:54] industries [00:55:54] you [00:55:55] guys [00:55:55] just [00:55:55] decided [00:55:55] to [00:55:56] start [00:55:56] in [00:55:56] the [00:55:56] healthcare [00:55:56] industry [00:55:57] and [00:55:57] I've [00:55:57] told [00:55:58] you [00:55:58] this [00:55:58] before [00:55:59] your [00:55:59] applicability [00:56:01] and [00:56:02] he'll [00:56:02] make [00:56:02] his [00:56:03] way [00:56:03] back [00:56:03] the [00:56:04] applicability [00:56:04] of [00:56:04] what [00:56:04] you [00:56:07] have [00:56:08] in [00:56:08] terms [00:56:08] of [00:56:09] services [00:56:09] and [00:56:10] how [00:56:10] that [00:56:10] can [00:56:10] expand [00:56:11] into [00:56:11] different [00:56:11] areas [00:56:12] like [00:56:12] think [00:56:13] of [00:56:13] manufacturing [00:56:13] and [00:56:14] others [00:56:14] is [00:56:16] definitely [00:56:16] applicable [00:56:16] and [00:56:17] it [00:56:17] will [00:56:17] definitely [00:56:18] be [00:56:19] an [00:56:20] area [00:56:20] where [00:56:20] you [00:56:20] guys [00:56:21] could [00:56:21] thrive [00:56:22] in [00:56:22] right [00:56:22] and [00:56:23] then [00:56:23] the [00:56:24] other [00:56:24] pieces [00:56:24] around [00:56:25] I [00:56:25] don't [00:56:26] want [00:56:26] to [00:56:26] get [00:56:26] into [00:56:26] too [00:56:26] much [00:56:26] of [00:56:27] a [00:56:27] sales [00:56:27] pitch [00:56:27] of [00:56:27] your [00:56:28] solution [00:56:28] but [00:56:28] you [00:56:29] must [00:56:29] be [00:56:30] capturing [00:56:30] a lot [00:56:30] of [00:56:30] information [00:56:31] around [00:56:31] threat [00:56:32] intelligence [00:56:33] and things [00:56:33] like that [00:56:33] so [00:56:34] thinking [00:56:34] about [00:56:34] how to [00:56:35] leverage [00:56:35] that [00:56:35] to [00:56:36] some [00:56:37] regard [00:56:37] is [00:56:37] probably [00:56:37] advantageous [00:56:38] as well [00:56:39] so [00:56:40] sorry [00:56:41] go ahead [00:56:41] go ahead [00:56:42] oh no [00:56:44] I was just [00:56:44] going to [00:56:44] say [00:56:44] yeah [00:56:45] I mean [00:56:45] that one [00:56:45] we like [00:56:45] to keep [00:56:46] on the [00:56:46] wraps [00:56:46] a bit [00:56:46] but [00:56:47] I [00:56:47] think [00:56:47] you [00:56:49] know [00:56:49] you [00:56:49] start [00:56:49] in [00:56:49] one [00:56:49] place [00:56:50] and [00:56:50] you [00:56:50] get [00:56:51] to [00:56:51] see [00:56:51] a lot [00:56:51] of [00:56:51] other [00:56:51] insights [00:56:52] as you [00:56:53] said [00:56:53] like [00:56:53] you [00:56:53] know [00:56:54] you [00:56:54] have [00:56:54] one [00:56:54] mission [00:56:54] and [00:56:54] you [00:56:54] think [00:56:55] you're [00:56:55] going [00:56:55] to [00:56:55] solve [00:56:55] this [00:56:55] and [00:56:56] then [00:56:56] as [00:56:56] you're [00:56:56] trying [00:56:56] to [00:56:56] solve [00:56:57] that [00:56:57] you [00:56:57] say [00:56:57] oh [00:56:57] look [00:56:58] at [00:56:58] these [00:56:58] couple [00:56:58] other [00:56:58] things [00:56:58] that [00:56:59] seem [00:56:59] to [00:56:59] be [00:56:59] interesting [00:56:59] let's [00:57:01] not [00:57:01] go [00:57:01] full [00:57:02] force [00:57:04] into [00:57:04] maybe [00:57:05] solving [00:57:05] that [00:57:05] you [00:57:05] don't [00:57:05] want [00:57:05] to [00:57:05] get [00:57:06] off [00:57:06] in [00:57:06] terms [00:57:06] of [00:57:06] focus [00:57:07] but [00:57:07] once [00:57:08] you [00:57:08] start [00:57:08] pivoting [00:57:09] out [00:57:09] core [00:57:09] use [00:57:10] you [00:57:10] do [00:57:40] big [00:57:40] problem [00:57:41] and [00:57:41] you [00:57:41] don't [00:57:41] want [00:57:42] to [00:57:42] be [00:57:42] hit [00:57:42] by [00:57:42] a lot [00:57:42] of [00:57:43] noisy [00:57:43] things [00:57:43] that [00:57:44] take [00:57:44] up [00:57:44] a lot [00:57:44] of [00:57:44] time [00:57:44] that [00:57:45] you [00:57:46] might [00:57:46] not [00:57:47] need [00:57:47] to [00:57:47] focus [00:57:47] your [00:57:47] attention [00:57:48] to [00:57:48] versus [00:57:49] getting [00:57:49] more [00:57:49] of [00:57:49] the [00:57:49] signal [00:57:50] of [00:57:50] it [00:57:50] so [00:57:50] that [00:57:51] has [00:57:51] been [00:57:51] interesting [00:57:52] yeah [00:57:54] no [00:57:54] look [00:57:54] absolutely [00:57:54] right [00:57:55] I [00:58:10] so [00:58:40] me [00:58:40] and [00:58:40] Tim [00:58:41] can [00:58:41] smack [00:58:42] me [00:58:42] around [00:58:42] just [00:58:42] don't [00:58:43] let me [00:58:44] not [00:58:44] say [00:58:44] that [00:58:44] the [00:58:46] you [00:58:47] know [00:58:47] it's [00:58:47] an [00:58:47] IOT [00:58:48] security [00:58:48] based [00:58:49] cyber [00:58:50] security [00:58:50] company [00:58:51] focused [00:58:51] on [00:58:51] the [00:58:51] healthcare [00:58:52] environment [00:58:53] and [00:58:54] protecting [00:58:54] the [00:58:54] healthcare [00:58:55] systems [00:58:56] so [00:58:57] think [00:58:57] about [00:58:57] things [00:58:57] like [00:58:58] pacemakers [00:58:58] and the [00:58:58] likes [00:58:59] I [00:58:59] can't [00:59:00] not [00:59:00] that [00:59:00] I [00:59:00] can't [00:59:00] wait [00:59:01] to [00:59:01] have [00:59:01] one [00:59:01] I [00:59:01] actually [00:59:01] don't [00:59:02] ever [00:59:02] want [00:59:02] to [00:59:02] have [00:59:02] one [00:59:02] but [00:59:03] if [00:59:04] and [00:59:04] when [00:59:04] that [00:59:04] time [00:59:04] does [00:59:05] occur [00:59:05] I [00:59:06] know [00:59:06] that [00:59:06] you [00:59:06] guys [00:59:07] will [00:59:07] have [00:59:07] my [00:59:07] back [00:59:07] so [00:59:09] if [00:59:09] you [00:59:09] do [00:59:10] have [00:59:10] a [00:59:10] question [00:59:10] feel [00:59:10] free [00:59:11] to [00:59:11] raise [00:59:11] your [00:59:11] hand [00:59:11] and [00:59:11] we [00:59:12] will [00:59:12] bring [00:59:12] you [00:59:12] up [00:59:12] on [00:59:12] stage [00:59:13] I [00:59:14] will [00:59:14] actually [00:59:15] ask [00:59:15] you [00:59:15] one [00:59:16] other [00:59:16] question [00:59:16] I'll [00:59:16] pass [00:59:16] it [00:59:16] over [00:59:17] to [00:59:17] Hussein [00:59:17] Tim [00:59:17] what [00:59:36] anything [00:59:37] I [00:59:37] can [00:59:37] add [00:59:37] to [00:59:38] my [00:59:38] list [00:59:38] of [00:59:39] books [00:59:40] is [00:59:40] always [00:59:40] a [00:59:40] great [00:59:40] thing [00:59:41] so [00:59:43] reading [00:59:44] or [00:59:44] listening [00:59:45] on [00:59:45] podcast [00:59:45] piece [00:59:46] I [00:59:46] think [00:59:46] I'm [00:59:46] actually [00:59:47] one [00:59:48] of [00:59:48] maybe [00:59:49] it's [00:59:49] just [00:59:49] because [00:59:49] some [00:59:50] of [00:59:50] the [00:59:50] current [00:59:50] events [00:59:51] are [00:59:51] so [00:59:51] news [00:59:53] and [00:59:53] everything [00:59:53] else [00:59:54] to [00:59:54] listen [00:59:54] to [00:59:54] can [00:59:54] sometimes [00:59:55] be [00:59:55] hard [00:59:55] to [00:59:56] listen [00:59:56] to [00:59:56] is [00:59:56] I've [00:59:57] been [00:59:57] getting [00:59:57] more [00:59:57] into [00:59:58] history [00:59:59] podcasts [01:00:00] and [01:00:00] history [01:00:00] books [01:00:00] and [01:00:01] particularly [01:00:02] in the [01:00:02] period [01:00:02] which [01:00:02] is [01:00:03] maybe [01:00:03] 11th [01:00:05] century [01:00:05] 12th [01:00:06] century [01:00:06] and [01:00:07] then [01:00:07] a [01:00:07] little [01:00:08] bit [01:00:08] leading [01:00:08] up [01:00:08] to [01:00:08] 18th [01:00:10] century [01:00:10] and [01:00:10] 17th [01:00:11] century [01:00:11] broadly [01:00:11] not [01:00:11] just [01:00:12] on [01:00:13] the [01:00:13] America [01:00:14] side [01:00:14] but [01:00:14] internationally [01:00:15] in [01:00:15] different [01:00:16] areas [01:00:16] and [01:00:17] there's [01:00:19] some [01:00:19] I [01:00:19] kind [01:00:20] of [01:00:20] enjoyed [01:00:20] some [01:00:20] American [01:00:21] history [01:00:21] tellers [01:00:22] that [01:00:22] podcast [01:00:23] piece [01:00:23] and [01:00:23] you know [01:00:24] going [01:00:25] sometimes [01:00:25] I get [01:00:26] too deep [01:00:26] into [01:00:26] late [01:00:27] nights [01:00:27] if you're [01:00:28] up [01:00:28] and [01:00:29] kind [01:00:29] of [01:00:29] working [01:00:29] on [01:00:29] some [01:00:30] task [01:00:30] oriented [01:00:31] things [01:00:31] and [01:00:31] then [01:00:32] you [01:00:32] get [01:00:32] to [01:00:32] just [01:00:32] put [01:00:33] something [01:00:33] on [01:00:33] especially [01:00:34] if [01:00:34] you [01:00:34] are [01:00:34] doing [01:00:35] a lot [01:00:35] of [01:00:35] work [01:00:35] that [01:00:35] you [01:00:35] can't [01:00:35] maybe [01:00:36] get [01:00:36] eyes [01:00:36] on [01:00:37] the [01:00:37] paper [01:00:37] to [01:00:37] read [01:00:37] or [01:00:37] have [01:00:38] that [01:00:38] time [01:00:38] listen [01:00:39] to [01:00:39] some [01:00:39] of [01:00:39] these [01:00:39] podcasts [01:00:40] out [01:00:40] there [01:00:40] especially [01:00:40] on the [01:00:41] history [01:00:41] buff [01:00:41] side [01:00:42] I've [01:00:43] enjoyed [01:00:43] and [01:00:43] I [01:01:03] have [01:01:04] I [01:01:05] have [01:01:05] to [01:01:05] hang [01:01:06] on [01:01:06] to [01:01:06] your [01:01:07] question [01:01:07] we'll [01:01:07] go [01:01:07] to [01:01:07] the [01:01:08] cyber [01:01:09] doctor [01:01:09] we [01:01:10] got [01:01:10] the [01:01:10] cyber [01:01:10] doctor [01:01:10] in [01:01:10] the [01:01:11] house [01:01:11] yeah [01:01:12] certainly [01:01:12] hey [01:01:15] good [01:01:16] evening [01:01:16] everyone [01:01:16] Tomas [01:01:17] and [01:01:17] Katie [01:01:18] and [01:01:18] everyone [01:01:18] how [01:01:19] are [01:01:19] you [01:01:19] guys [01:01:19] late [01:01:20] to [01:01:21] the [01:01:21] party [01:01:21] if [01:01:22] you [01:01:22] will [01:01:22] but [01:01:22] you [01:01:24] know [01:01:24] caught [01:01:24] on [01:01:25] to [01:01:25] the [01:01:25] last [01:01:25] part [01:01:26] of [01:01:26] tomorrow [01:01:26] discussion [01:01:28] and [01:01:28] just [01:01:29] a couple [01:01:29] weeks [01:01:29] ago [01:01:30] I [01:01:30] was [01:01:30] in [01:01:30] Orlando [01:01:31] for [01:01:31] hymns [01:01:31] ! [01:01:33] case floor, you know, in terms of all things, healthcare and IOT, it was, you know, obviously [01:01:38] my security hat was going off quite a bit, but nonetheless, we're curious on your thoughts. [01:01:44] I know last year, the UK introduced that whole legislation about IOT devices. [01:01:50] Just curious your thoughts in practicality. [01:01:54] And, you know, if we ever, you know, you could ever envision us seeing something to that [01:01:59] magnitude here, stateside or in North America, for that matter. [01:02:03] No, that's perfect. [01:02:05] Maybe I saw you at HIMSS. [01:02:06] I was also there with our group. [01:02:09] So who knows, maybe we ran across each other. [01:02:12] And I think what's happening in the UK, which to a bit with, you know, from an audit side, [01:02:18] they have certainly within the NHS a bit more grasp around their auditors that are performing [01:02:23] specific things. [01:02:24] And when you're mentioning IOT, what they actually put in place and it comes into effect first [01:02:29] as a recommendation, and then they're going to audit against by the end of the year. [01:02:33] But this is what they call their data security privacy toolkit, DSPT, side, particularly for [01:02:40] the NHS. [01:02:41] And one of their recent inductions of kind of a claim that you have to be able to show [01:02:46] evidence for. [01:02:47] And this is interesting because this doesn't mean you have to have a tool or product, but [01:02:51] there's certainly leading towards this light is you have to show basically a list, a registry, [01:02:57] of all of your connected medical devices. [01:03:00] And I think that starting progression for them is to say, well, you know, you might have a [01:03:04] better means of control and management around your IT, your workstations, laptops, phones, [01:03:09] and both endpoint-based and network-based solutions that are looking at addressing this. [01:03:14] And I'm focusing on these actual endpoints and devices, less so on the maybe cloud security [01:03:18] side. [01:03:19] And then, you know, the realization that as more digitalization connectivity and more vendors [01:03:25] come across that are selling in, I'm not going to call it rogue devices, but devices that [01:03:30] are coming on by, you know, different clinicians and different groups that are saying, oh, let [01:03:33] me just put this on connect network here. [01:03:36] And if it's wired, wireless, then we're going to test this out. [01:03:38] And you're realizing these are built on older operating systems, not getting obviously [01:03:42] patched or updated as frequently. [01:03:43] And I think the UK was kind of right to put in an initial guiding step to get the individual [01:03:49] and how they're broken up as they have NHS foundation trusts that make up, folks not familiar [01:03:54] in the UK, and between England and Wales and Scotland and Northern Ireland, I think they [01:03:58] call them territory boards or foundation trusts, you know, independent based on their city or [01:04:02] municipality that they can account for acute care hospitals. [01:04:05] So these individual trusts are now kind of responsible for showcasing, particularly around [01:04:09] their DSBT requirements, a connected inventory of medical assets. [01:04:14] And that's the start to basically go towards now kind of more of a continuous monitoring. [01:04:18] So I think if I apply it here in the US, I think the body, particularly on healthcare, that [01:04:23] looks at a wide range of audit or capability would be joint commissions. [01:04:26] And certainly when joint commission comes to any hospital, that's always, you know, [01:04:30] certainly on the clinical side and clinical skill set and questioning and such that they [01:04:34] do. [01:04:35] I know they have some very light claims around some of the IT pieces that they're looking [01:04:41] to address. [01:04:41] I think that's probably the easiest line in if joint commission is going to take this step [01:04:46] on the security side to kind of bolster some level of, you know, compliance oversight [01:04:51] to drive some of the private, you know, healthcare organizations towards some better, best security [01:04:56] practice around that. [01:04:58] I think that would be an interesting, and I don't want to tee it up because I'm the one, [01:05:01] you know, kind of answering here, but I'm curious since we have, you know, from Hussain, [01:05:05] your side, what you're kind of living and breathing. [01:05:07] This is, is that a mark there? [01:05:08] Or do you think there's another auditing body that would be appropriate for it to be? [01:05:13] Jake, you know, you're right. [01:05:14] Jake Cohen, that's doing commission, right? [01:05:16] That's one of the biggest ones, right? [01:05:18] There may be a couple smaller ones that do, but like you said, they're starting to look [01:05:23] more deeper into the cybersecurity and DR and BCP type of stuff, which, you know, encompasses [01:05:30] the entire healthcare operations. [01:05:31] So certainly any IoT, MIOT gets covered there, but you're right on the mark there. [01:05:37] Thank you. [01:05:39] I am, you know, that's at least, I think, the one that would have the biggest bite from [01:05:43] a federal, you know, side that have already some oversight within HHS and then JCO or, [01:05:49] you know, doing commissions on it. [01:05:57] Tobas? [01:06:00] Yep. [01:06:00] I'm here. [01:06:01] Thanks, Cyberdoctor. [01:06:02] Thanks for that question. [01:06:04] Weyqin, over to you. [01:06:05] Thanks for joining us this evening. [01:06:09] Yeah, thank you, Tomas. [01:06:10] Yeah, thank you, Timmer, for, yeah, sharing your experience. [01:06:14] Yeah, I'm super excited, okay? [01:06:17] So you are in the, certainly, to the, to the warehouse area, right? [01:06:22] Subsecure and healthcare. [01:06:24] I firmly believe you are going to have a huge success in your area, okay? [01:06:30] I'm a little bit curious here. [01:06:31] I think I heard a conversation between you and Thomas just now, basically, talk about, right? [01:06:43] In terms of healthcare environment, we know there's a great need of a cybersecurity, right? [01:06:48] Enhancement and so on. [01:06:51] So your solution, right? [01:06:52] So your solution, right? [01:06:54] It's going to be focused on healthcare environment. [01:06:58] And what would be the highlights of your solution in comparison with some big subsecure company, their general solution? [01:07:11] So I probably, I'll miss that part. [01:07:15] Can you kind of repeat the highlights of your security solution for this very important healthcare environment? [01:07:25] Thank you. [01:07:26] No, that's a perfect question. [01:07:27] And I think, you know, we didn't get in as much to that side of the house. [01:07:31] But I think, you know, what we are solving for, right? [01:07:35] And this is, I guess, the view of all of these new, be it MRI, CT, infusion pumps, security cameras, printers, building management systems, HVAC systems, and then a whole gamut of other wired wireless devices that are now, you know, connected on the network. [01:07:52] Can you go beyond just endpoint detection? [01:07:55] No. [01:07:55] Okay. [01:07:56] This is endpoint. [01:07:57] This is the IP. [01:07:58] What else? [01:07:59] If I hover over this in my SIM or from a CMDB or CMMS side, which CMMS is kind of on the clinical engineering, they have, oh, I bought these devices. [01:08:08] I've deployed them here. [01:08:10] The biggest kind of missing link to solve for was kind of asset management, which is without deploying any agents or kind of in a passive capability. [01:08:18] So not being able to scan these networks in terms of determining that, like you might with your traditional IT systems. [01:08:25] Can I have a passive out-of-band system that can mirror all of the network traffic at other core distribution level switches? [01:08:31] And then from that, can I, from the raw network traffic, and this actual kind of almost full packet capture here, can I associate both IP to a MAC address to then the model, the vendor, the operating system, the version number? [01:08:46] And that type of information in real time and monitoring that is really a first fundamental piece in terms of, like, any type of cybersecurity best practices of knowing what your assets are before you even get into risk and triaging. [01:08:59] And I think that was still a very glaring hole between the current, you know, MAC solutions, network tools, scanning tools, and again, with some fundamental operational challenges around that. [01:09:10] That wasn't being adequately addressed from the bigger technology providers, network providers, security providers in the healthcare environment. [01:09:20] And that's what we knew, you know, from a scalability and speed we wanted to address first. [01:09:24] Can I truly detect and pick up these devices that have interesting, unique protocols? [01:09:28] And how would you do this to either have to reverse the engineering protocol or potentially have different types of adaptive ways of determining on a heuristic side of what that device would be so that you can go into a new environment where you've never seen any types of, you know, especially in healthcare, there's a lot of diversity of types of devices. [01:09:46] That was a really big driving piece and feature capability. [01:09:50] And then it went to, like, oh, how can I get other information around risks and vulnerabilities affecting these devices, things that wouldn't even be exploited yet, but certainly would be a vulnerability that you might want to, you know, both associate and correlate back and inform that medical device vendor. [01:10:05] Okay, we found this known, you know, vulnerability in your device. [01:10:08] Have they actually disclosed it or what their update or patch would be? [01:10:11] And that then has a whole different realm of implications because a lot of these medical device vendors, if we think about legacy and support, well, maybe they phased out that device and they don't have support to update or patch that system. [01:10:25] And a lot of these, you know, you still see a lot of Windows XP, older Windows version, Linux, et cetera, being run. [01:10:31] End of life operating systems for sure. [01:10:33] So triaging risk and vulnerability and then knowing kind of, again, from a knowing the devices and the devices they communicate with, very particularly, maybe you can help enforce some segmentation and zoning. [01:10:47] Again, broadly speaking in this zero trust segmentation journey, but very targeted towards remediation of higher risks. [01:10:53] And I think those three main security, know what your assets are in more detail, especially these non-IT devices, know what the risks and vulnerabilities are impacting, and then look at addressing remediation. [01:11:04] And based on criticality, well, if this is a FDA class one, two, three device versus maybe potentially a security camera, you're going to have different levels of importance there. [01:11:14] And I think it's really, you know, broadly speaking, an asset-centric security approach is what we were going there. [01:11:18] And that's the main driving kind of practice security. [01:11:22] And then as we kind of got talking here around threat intel and threat detection, there's a lot more nuance there that can be assisted versus some of the traditional kind of intrusion detection, intrusion prevention systems, when you can't have certain inline capabilities to just quarantine or block a device that might be a medical device. [01:11:38] Because then in essence, you're turning, you become a medical device and regulated by that because of the impact on the operation. [01:11:46] So hopefully that does a little bit of a job of our main feature, knowing what the asset is. [01:11:51] Again, agent-less kind of network approach, knowing the risks and vulnerabilities, looking at remediating it, and then layering on more of our kind of occult reactionary network detection side as well with the insights that you know what the assets are. [01:12:03] So you know a better runbook or playbook against it. [01:12:09] Yeah, thank you so much. [01:12:11] Yeah, that's really helpful. [01:12:12] So actually, while you're talking, I thought a quick question here. [01:12:19] My scenario here, okay. [01:12:20] So for instance, there is a critical medical device, right, that is being used to treat a patient, right? [01:12:30] And at the same time, there was a vulnerability identified. [01:12:36] So the solution is, should we simply stop the procedure to ensure there's subsecure was protected? [01:12:46] Or should we wait until the procedure is finished? [01:12:50] It's sometimes hard, right? [01:12:53] So I don't know what should be the solution, actually, to this scenario. [01:12:57] So you're getting into, I think, that the runbooks and playbooks on, well, first would be if you just determine that there is a vulnerability that's not actively being exploited against, you know, I don't think you're going to go and stop a procedure for a potential risk like that, right? [01:13:15] So I think that's more of the proactive, put that into your kind of government risk compliance is a severity level of a vulnerability that we can help correlate before anything would be potentially exploited against it with that in a more proactive sense. [01:13:30] If that's post-procedure, you're going to correlate now and trigger an alert to go to Philips or GE and say, okay, we determined this. [01:13:39] Is there, have they disclosed that vulnerability? [01:13:42] And we can pull that, kind of pull that information and show that if there's any actual links to a known disclosed vulnerability. [01:13:47] I think your piece was hitting, if you actually see it being targeted. [01:13:51] So if someone came in via phishing and got hold of a workstation, maybe that workstation is actually a workstation associated with MRI device, which is a lot of the times, you know, you have workstations being sold in that end up hospitals don't actually put any agents on them because they think, you know, they're being sold by GE or Philips. [01:14:10] And it's, it looks unique, but really people can go up and, you know, browse the web and look at Facebook and then potentially get hit by any, you know, drive-out malware or any attempts there. [01:14:20] And I think that in that scenario, which is very particular to then how you would respond, well, you might know the communication of the MRI to the workstations and then over via DICOM, the servers that it would correlate with. [01:14:32] And I think there you can have an enforcement that if you, you know, if that device, all of a sudden that workstation starts talking to other types of devices, that would alert to basically take a more directed response with your security team to go and not quarantine the device fully off the network, which might be a traditional sense if it was a, you know, some IT device and you didn't mind the end user not having access for some time, even if it was a false positive, do any forensics. [01:14:57] That would allow you to have, in rapid time, and this is the interesting part, would you have a clinical engineering biomed staff member, basically once a procedure was completed, if it was ongoing, basically take that device offline for that period. [01:15:11] And you see this impacted where many organizations, if they got hit on their IT sides, they'll start shutting down potentially clinical services if they think other devices were impacted. [01:15:20] And yeah, I think that can be avoided if you have kind of a more monitoring capability to really see what's going on within the network of communication. [01:15:28] And I think this type of network based approach is looking to solve that. [01:15:32] And I know we're diving into it a little bit, but it was a very fair question. [01:15:35] I think not something that's been fully solved from a people and process side, right? [01:15:40] This is going towards that as you have the technology there. [01:15:42] Now you have to have the right run book and playbook around response and different severity of responses. [01:15:50] Thank you so much. [01:15:51] Thank you so much. [01:15:52] Thank you so much. [01:15:53] If I can, can I ask one final question? [01:15:57] Yeah, Thomas? [01:15:58] I'm going to charge you for that one. [01:16:00] Go ahead. [01:16:01] Okay. [01:16:02] Go ahead. [01:16:03] Go ahead. [01:16:04] Thank you so much. [01:16:05] Yeah. [01:16:06] So my question is from my student, right? [01:16:10] So you are the CEO of your company. [01:16:13] And I know that you are looking for talents, right? [01:16:17] Yeah. [01:16:18] To develop your solution or products, right? [01:16:20] For your company. [01:16:21] And what type of people are you looking for actually? [01:16:25] Yeah. [01:16:26] That's something I can bring the message back to my class. [01:16:29] Yes. [01:16:30] You should, we should connect offline about it because I think we're actively and we've been hiring out here, especially on the, I'll call it on the, on the software engineering side. [01:16:39] So backend, front end, DevOps engineers, particularly with the security focus or mindset in terms of product build. [01:16:45] And then some lower level programming skills on what we're doing at the actual server and the software putting on our network servers to be able to process at line rate this information. [01:16:57] So wide software engineering roles available. [01:17:02] And our particular focus areas is pretty broad. [01:17:06] I mean, especially off of, you know, recent graduates or masters or undergrad graduate. [01:17:11] I mean, we can go from some experience in the field, which is good or building up from a more junior role to, to be there. [01:17:21] So I'm happy to connect off this. [01:17:23] And if you have interesting students, to, you know, to talk to them with our team. [01:17:29] That's good. [01:17:30] I'm going to connect. [01:17:31] Yeah. [01:17:32] I'll connect with you. [01:17:33] I will have a conversation with you later. [01:17:35] Thank you. [01:17:36] Thanks, Wikin. [01:17:37] Thanks for popping up on stage and asking your question. [01:17:40] And look, if you do end up placing one of your students there, I'd love to hear that. [01:17:45] Because it'd be great to know that this conversation has served a good purpose, which is finding and cultivating and curating good talent into great organizations. [01:17:57] Hussein, I know you had a follow up question. [01:18:00] If not, I don't know if Katie is applauding or if she has a follow up question as well. [01:18:03] I have one. [01:18:04] I can go after Hussein. [01:18:06] I knew Katie has it. [01:18:07] I knew Katie had one. [01:18:08] Of course she does. [01:18:09] Go ahead. [01:18:10] Hussein, if you want to forgoing like Katie. [01:18:12] Yeah. [01:18:13] Yeah. [01:18:14] Go ahead. [01:18:15] Thank you, Katie. [01:18:16] Go ahead, please. [01:18:17] Oh, thank you. [01:18:18] So listen, I think. [01:18:19] Thank you for letting me have this question, guys. [01:18:23] Noticing that you just expanded into Spain. [01:18:27] So congratulations on that. [01:18:30] And then kind of just internationally, I wanted to ask you about your experience as a CEO of a company where you're going in from both a cybersecurity and a healthcare perspective into the European market. [01:18:43] Just curious about what that experience has been like for you and any insight you would have around, you know, the challenges in expanding into the European market from both a cybersecurity and a healthcare perspective. [01:18:56] Oh, that's I'm not going to have all the answers. [01:19:00] That's something we're currently doing right now between, you know, obviously in the UK has been our strongest suit of that, but, you know, Nordic countries into mainland kind of Europe and thinking through how I would say the biggest insight is you don't want to go necessarily on this direct in that model. [01:19:18] It's got to really be a channel driven strategy with either, you know, system integrators or resellers or VARs that know the clients. [01:19:27] And then if I think just cybersecurity and IT, I would have to narrow that list to there's an even smaller number of companies that deal within healthcare IT. [01:19:37] And those are the ones where we've gotten pool and how we've kind of learned this is we might have some CISOs on, you know, for instance, a public Spanish hospital that says, oh, I'm going to reach out. [01:19:47] I'm curious about what you're doing. [01:19:48] You know, we're working through on trying to solve this challenge. [01:19:52] And then we're actually leveraging them to direct us to the right type of partners that they work with. [01:19:58] And it could be the bigger companies everyone's familiar with. [01:20:01] But normally we've seen at their level, there's some very tactical regional ones that they work with, you know, in Spain, certainly. [01:20:09] If we think about Italy as well. [01:20:11] Germany as a bigger one that has a lot of, I would say they're probably the biggest target rich in terms of healthcare organizations and focus on the IT technology. [01:20:23] And we've kind of had this approach that it's been interesting to go to countries like Spain and Italy and then even into Greece and others that everyone has a different perspective of how to, if this is a problem they view now or they have particularly healthcare [01:20:39] or they foresee this in the next six to 12 months as they have more connectivity within their network. [01:20:44] And I think a lot of that insight has been driven by the local partners that deal with them day in day out, either as their pro serve companies that they're doing, you know, maybe stock management, maybe they're doing some level of light pro service that, you know, even involves around kind of implementation deployment of technologies and some type of light touch and even not into the, you know, full outsource piece. [01:21:05] And so that's been our progression. [01:21:09] And when we started that, we did the same thing. [01:21:11] One, you know, one NHS trust that brought us in initially to kind of trial out our system about 12 months ago. [01:21:16] And then, you know, we built up and gone to, you know, over a dozen. [01:21:20] So individual trusts and just England alone and working that through in the past 12 months was just quick for a US company at our size to be able to move across the pond there and work. [01:21:32] And I think it, it hits the question we all started from, which it's addressing a tangible challenge. [01:21:37] It's addressing a tangible compliance and audit challenge too. [01:21:40] And they'll say, no, they want to, they want to look to solve. [01:21:43] And that's been our, that's been how kind of we've grown almost organic, but then kind of the inorganic growth would be once you work with the right partner, all of a sudden they say, Hey, this, this problem I see in Spain, you know, in Sweden and Denmark and Norway, they're having similar issues. [01:21:57] Then they want to bring you there. So that's been kind of our international growth directory. [01:22:02] And then I would say the most interesting one has been maybe engaging into a place like Thailand, which were just for 30 person company seems very interesting to want to even engage and work there. [01:22:13] And I just think that speaks to the global piece of, of this within healthcare providers. [01:22:18] It doesn't matter where they are, you know, who they treat. [01:22:22] They know this is a concern, broadly speaking around these, some of these problem areas we just talked about in terms of what we can look to address. [01:22:32] Yeah, no, I appreciate that. Yeah. And I, I mean, even around regulation too, is that something that you've had to bring in specialists or how do you, when you're going, going into a market like this, how do you become the expert that you need to be, to be able to be in compliance with the regions that you're going into? [01:22:51] Yeah. And that the perfect always answer on that is outside of the technical piece, you got to refine the right partner that knows the right types of certifications. [01:23:00] That's what you're getting. Yeah. Okay. [01:23:02] The contracts, contracting, certain types of audits that we're going to have to be done for the company to say, okay, you need this type of cyber essentials certification done. [01:23:12] You need it within this timeframe. You know, if you go even different countries, different regulations on, even if you're hosting something in the cloud, right. [01:23:19] And they might require, since this is not just full on prem, different regulatory drivers around in country hosting, how's that going to be done? [01:23:29] If you have folks in the U S interacting, even if it's in country on the cloud, a lot of that insight has been driven by the partners that day in, day out have dealt with that at their, you know, associated clients and counterparts and colleagues that they work with. [01:23:42] And that can get you from, wow, this seems like a big daunting challenge to go into this new market versus kind of having a line of sight that they've, they've done this before. [01:23:52] And you can kind of leverage that to expand, but they're only going to do that if you have the right type of approach, right? [01:23:57] You're solving something that seems tangible enough to be brought in to give you that oversight. [01:24:02] Oh yeah. So insightful. Yeah. Thank you for that. [01:24:05] Yeah. With that, Hussein, I'll pass it over to you. [01:24:09] Thank you, Katie. So Tim, were you hit it on the head because those are mostly nationalized health systems, right? [01:24:17] The government run entities as opposed to the United States where we kind of operate on our own, have procurement powers. [01:24:26] Whereas there you have to get on the preferred vendor list and all that stuff before you can actually make a sale to the, to the entities. [01:24:36] Right. But my question is around how do you solve the linguistic barriers that may exist when you're dealing with countries where, you know, [01:24:46] countries where English is not predominantly the lingo franca. [01:24:51] Oh, that's so I've been surprised on some, and even into, you know, [01:24:58] I'll use Spain as a good analysis here that a lot of their security teams still use products in English. [01:25:06] And mainly from the fact that, you know, maybe that's from previous, you know, [01:25:12] call it leverage of some companies saying, Oh, we're not going to translate over necessarily. [01:25:16] And you're going to have to be adaptable to leverage this capability or product in English. [01:25:21] Now, increasingly we're seeing this, you know, [01:25:24] when we're looking to expand here that there is a push to say, well, can we get this, you know, translated fully? [01:25:30] And when they dangle the big enough kind of contract value to say, you know, we're, we want to do it, but we want you to basically for our staff that not necessarily are all going to be using technical. [01:25:41] Capabilities in English, we need this done. [01:25:43] Well, then it's a back end. [01:25:45] It's a back end and really a front end issue on the actual product itself to just have translation done. [01:25:50] And I'm not saying that's a simple task, but it's, it's certainly a lot simpler than, you know, building up the technology itself to be able to translate all of the words. [01:26:02] And incorrect grammatical sense of what they're using to, and then linking that to, you know, one of the big action, actually saying you're hitting a perfect point, which is you might have regulatory bodies like the FDA here. [01:26:13] And I'll use UK for instance, has the NHRA equivalent. [01:26:18] And then even where you think, oh, there's a medical device that class three, well, there, they have a whole different classification nomenclature. [01:26:26] So translating that actually you're hitting a good point, which is not just English or language specific, but to the regulatory standards they want is actually a really good driver. [01:26:36] And when you make it almost custom in that sense built there, you're going to get greater adoption because other companies might come through and say, oh, this is the way we do it. [01:26:44] We're not going to make the investment necessarily to, to go specific, especially in healthcare, especially if you're gonna have a security company that's not selling the healthcare, or really that's predominant build out. [01:26:52] They lose a lot of that nuance. [01:26:54] And I think that's been interesting to see for, for us. [01:26:57] If you do that, if you, if you're able to solve that nuance and it might not even seem like big technical issues, you're going to, you're going to make a very happy client. [01:27:06] Yeah. [01:27:07] Yeah. [01:27:08] You made a good point because that's how, that's where all the compliance come in. [01:27:11] You know, half of it is compliance, half of it is actually making sure that you're secure, but have you made any forays into the ME market yet or into the. [01:27:21] Other area of the continent. [01:27:23] You're, you're almost, you got, you know, my thoughts almost on that is more recently, yeah, and me and. [01:27:31] I think the next one that we're kind of targeting broadly as a continent piece is also in Africa. [01:27:36] And we've seen some partners of ours reach out to want to go into specific, you know, regions and countries as well. [01:27:42] And I think just for us, you know, as we're scaling from, you know, less than a year ago at half our size and now this size and, and, you know, taking on bigger responsibility and challenges, which is fun to think we, we scale this at the size we are. [01:27:54] I think we're going to be looking to do that and that's really got to find the right individuals and partner and team members also build out in country and region to handle that. [01:28:03] But again, it's a, it's the same global problem that any hospital network that has this increasing, you know, burden that they're buying in the same new vendor products. [01:28:12] They're supporting older legacy equipment that's on the network. [01:28:16] It's going to be a, it's not, it's certainly not going to be something that goes away quickly compared to other industries where there's, there's also a capital resource constraint on, well, you can't just buy them. [01:28:26] You know, the newest and best, you know, MRI or CT machine at the cost that they are. [01:28:30] So you're going to have to support legacy equipment and that's only going to be increasing some of these security risk challenges as you have other types of devices, you know, connected there on the same parts of the network. [01:28:40] And so, yeah, I think expansion wise, it's as really, I would say it's as fast as you want to grow to make sure that, you know, it doesn't blow up in the sense of, you're not going to be able to support it at scale. [01:28:53] And I think that's always a fun problem to be dealing with. [01:28:58] Yeah. [01:28:59] You know, it's a sky's the limit in this space. [01:29:03] So more and more modernization takes place in caregiving to make it more predictive medicine. [01:29:10] You know, this would, this will just be growing for you. [01:29:13] And we haven't even hit the home healthcare, right? [01:29:16] All the devices that are going at the home that might end up being more life support, critical support. [01:29:22] That aren't just your wearable devices and that connectivity back into providers or other systems. [01:29:28] I think that expands and opens up a whole new, a whole new, both good, you know, better clinical decision, quicker decision making and better treatment, but also increasingly, obviously some type of security risk. [01:29:42] As you think through any confidentiality or integrity availability of that data might be relied upon to make informed decisions that, you know, caregivers or, or physicians or nurses are giving at the hospital site to their patients at home. [01:29:55] Very true. [01:29:56] Very true. [01:29:57] And, you know, the health system, the health environment is totally changed. [01:30:01] Longer stays have been cut down to days because people heal faster, better at home than in the hospital. [01:30:08] And, you know, the health system is recognizing that, but at the same time, they need to provide the monitoring, the care that that's needed to be in. [01:30:16] And it also comes with security and managing that environment and just in time, you know, detection. [01:30:22] So you're in a great place. [01:30:24] Over to you, Tomas. [01:30:25] Thanks. [01:30:26] Yeah, no, that's probably a good segue to, to what I wanted to ask you, Tomas, about what do you think about the metaverse? [01:30:32] I'm thinking about how a lot of people are talking about the metaverse. [01:30:36] What is that? [01:30:37] Does that, does that translate into anything opportunistically for, for you and your company? [01:30:43] And maybe dovetailing off of what Hussein said, right? [01:30:46] People heal, heal faster while they're at home, but you've got that monitoring and sort of gap, if you will. [01:30:54] So what are your thoughts on that? [01:30:56] I think the metaverse piece is, is interesting. [01:31:00] I mean, unless you're trying to correlate that to, can that be an interactive area where you, you're interacting with a care team and then, you know, maybe on the security side of the sense of what that might change. [01:31:14] But I think certainly maybe from interactions, could there be a healthcare application of it? [01:31:19] I'm not certain, maybe I'm, I'm gonna have to look into this. How many, are there any healthcare specific type of metaverse plays that are already looking at it as like, you know, come in, here's the pharmacy, talk to us. [01:31:30] We're like, you know, pharmacists and we can give you an actual kind of beyond the kind of more fun sense of it. [01:31:38] Could there be an application there that you can leverage off of just outside of just like telehealth and virtual calling? [01:31:43] I'm, I'm not sure. [01:31:45] That's a good, that's a good, that's a good question there. [01:31:47] I have actually thought about what companies are building upon that to be more like clinical focus. [01:31:52] Yeah, that's what I was thinking. [01:31:53] That's what I was thinking about. [01:31:54] Like maybe, you know, some sort of, uh, adaption or application where you've got the sort of the telehealth components now moving into that, whatever the metaverse is for however you want to define it. [01:32:08] Um, but also, um, being able to leverage or opportunistically leverage capabilities with being able to get better monitoring of an individual while they're at home, you know, uh, going through the process of healing, whatever that healing is, right? [01:32:28] Healing from whatever illness or surgery that they've, that they've gone through. [01:32:33] So I was just, I was just thinking, you know, that there's, that could be a play there, uh, or there could not be, but just curious if you were thinking about it. [01:32:40] I mean, it seems like Tomasi, you know, in a year from now, you might be the, uh, the founder of one of the largest, uh, metaverse healthcare, you know, tech enabled companies. [01:32:50] I mean, it's interesting. [01:32:51] I'll make, I'll make sure to sell you an NFT so you can have a ticket into it. [01:33:04] How's that? [01:33:05] Well, I was going to say there's so many weird permutations on the NFT. [01:33:08] Like, is that some type of, can you make that some transactional thing that you can get certain things done with and buy? [01:33:15] Yeah. [01:33:16] Yeah. [01:33:17] Everybody will have a personalized NFT. [01:33:19] That's like a QR code on the back of your neck or something. [01:33:22] And somebody can scan it on the way in. [01:33:24] And then that's your, all your, all your, you know, medical records on it. [01:33:29] I mean, then I guess that's a medical history. [01:33:32] Actually, you know what, that's not, you know, now that we, we kind of say that it's sort of half jokingly, but that's probably a good application for an NFT, right? [01:33:40] A personalized NFT that has all of your medical history that you can carry with you. [01:33:44] And you can use that when you, when you enter into any hospital anywhere around the world, because the hospitals are not always all interconnected, right? [01:33:54] Maybe if you get a hospital system, you'll be able to, you know, I'm going to use some of the ones in New York, like a Montefiore or something like that. [01:34:03] Right. [01:34:04] But they've got a chain of other hospitals in and around the city. [01:34:07] You don't go into any Montefiore and they pull up your records, but you go to, you know, Presbyterian and you don't have your records because it's not part of that Montefiore system. [01:34:15] I don't know if that's accurate or not, but I'm just using it as an example. [01:34:18] So maybe think about, you know, carrying that with you. [01:34:21] I mean, if I just look up NFT health records, we're hitting on something in the past two, three months that there seems to be more, you know, news articles about, can this be possible? [01:34:30] It's more of a, can this be possible rather than someone has attempted to do it? [01:34:34] So this is now the incubator for this. [01:34:37] We got to talk about this. [01:34:39] This seems like an interesting thing to actually. [01:34:40] I'm going to find some specialists. [01:34:42] The, the, the hearing the CEO say, this seems like this might be interesting. [01:34:55] It sounds like we might have to have a follow up conversation in a month or so, because there'll probably be a new business idea for you. [01:35:02] If I just look up again, NFT health records or any search platform. [01:35:08] I mean, the most three days, it should be turning your medical records into an NFT. [01:35:13] Given how poorly HIPAA fails to protect patient data. [01:35:16] Could this be? [01:35:17] So it seems like there's discussion in the realms of it. [01:35:20] I'm not seeing any companies that are, unless they're stealth mode that are actually attempting it. [01:35:26] All right. [01:35:28] Well, if there's any companies out there that want to explore this idea, feel free to, uh, [01:35:31] contact me. [01:35:32] I'm happy to talk about it. [01:35:33] Uh, I think Russell you're in, right? [01:35:37] You, I'm sure you want to talk about it as well. [01:35:39] Yeah, let's do it. [01:35:40] I think it's, you know, you know, so my wife's a healthcare provider and the last couple of years has been able to see people telemedicine, you know, iPad or computer, et cetera. [01:35:50] And you think about, okay, well, how far of a stretch, you know, and now that we're all used to zoom now that we all want, like Tomas said, wherever I go, I want my provider to have access to my information. [01:36:00] And I don't really care what hospital facility or network or app they're using. [01:36:05] You know, what's the gap between where we're at, uh, and making that happen. [01:36:10] And if you think of metaverse as okay, something that's not in person. [01:36:14] So if I'm not in front of my provider, maybe that's the metaverse. [01:36:18] I think we even talking about what used to seem fantasy before might be closer than we think. [01:36:24] And, but to think, you know, Tomas, you're hitting perfectly on this NFT space. [01:36:28] It's still riddled with a lot of like data security problems. [01:36:30] And over also IP, like there's some intellectual property concerns around ownership of NFTs, how they're created. [01:36:38] So you're hurting, I imagine the next 12 to 24 months, this is going to be interesting. [01:36:43] It's going to get there. [01:36:44] We'll hear it here. [01:36:45] We'll come back to this fireside. [01:36:46] It's going to get there with blockchain and other things, you know, it's going to secure it. [01:36:51] You know, there's, there's a way to do it. [01:36:53] So it just needs to be a little bit more teased out. [01:36:56] Tomas, you hit it on the head. [01:36:57] We'll probably have to regroup. [01:36:59] We'll probably have to regroup here. [01:37:00] Thank you. [01:37:01] Well, you heard it here first, ladies and gentlemen, you heard it here first. [01:37:05] It's 9.28 PM Eastern time. [01:37:07] Look, if you, there are a few regulars in there, in there, in the room, but if there might be one or two new folks, if you're new to our fireside chat, we do this every Wednesday between 8 PM Eastern time to about 9.30 PM Eastern time. [01:37:20] There's a little greenhouse on the top left of your screen right next to what says fireside chat. [01:37:25] It looks like a little monopoly house. [01:37:26] You could click that and you could pass go and collect your, I'm just playing. [01:37:30] You can click that and you can join our club and see who's up next week. [01:37:33] Before we kind of wrap and get to the final question. [01:37:37] I do want to just remind everybody. [01:37:39] So next week, if I can get to my calendar correctly here, I believe it's another CEO. [01:37:45] Yep. [01:37:46] Next week we have the CEO from abnormal security. [01:37:50] Evan Reiser comes to us from abnormal security. [01:37:54] It's a security email security company. [01:37:57] So join us back next week in the realm of, I guess, I guess it's still a startup as well. [01:38:03] So continuing the series of startups and CEOs and learning about their journey and their origin story. [01:38:08] So join us back next week, 8 PM Eastern time. [01:38:10] And that is sometime in April. [01:38:13] I should have looked at the date. [01:38:15] But Tim, you want to say something? [01:38:18] I was going to throw a plug that I think Tomas will have this whole NFT health record piece figured out by then. [01:38:24] So you'll hear him pitches his idea then. [01:38:27] Oh man. [01:38:28] No pressure, huh? [01:38:29] No pressure. [01:38:30] So look, I usually like asking this question as I call it the final question. [01:38:39] But before I get there, Mara, is there any questions that you guys have, Bernie, that you want to get off your chest and ask Timur before I get to the last? [01:38:51] I just want to say thanks for being here. [01:38:54] I learned a ton tonight and it's been just delightful listening to your stories and having you share your experiences with us. [01:39:04] Same here, Timur. [01:39:05] No, thank you. [01:39:06] You know, we talk sometimes, but it's always, you know, inspirational talking to you and chatting up. [01:39:12] Thank you for coming on tonight. [01:39:14] All right. [01:39:19] Thanks. [01:39:20] So, Timur, look, I know you're not that old like we are, like Hussain and I are. [01:39:27] But, you know, when you think about your journey so far and, you know, where you started to where you are now and everything in between and all the sort of points around Pennsylvania that Katie was touching upon, which was rather interesting. [01:39:42] It doesn't make me want to go there, by the way, but I just find it interesting. [01:39:45] Freedom High School. [01:39:46] Freedom. [01:39:47] What would be that one piece of advice that you've received in your journey or during your journey that you would give to the younger Timur? [01:39:57] What would it be and why? [01:39:59] Well, that's a good question. [01:40:02] And I think I've been thinking about this the past couple of weeks as like the, you know, the pressure gets higher as, you know, it becomes more successful and growth and all this is I think sometimes you're too focused on the end result to kind of enjoy the process. [01:40:21] And even if the process is a struggle and a little bit cliche here on it, but I think enjoying when it was, you know, small little things that seemed like back then you were stressed about just enjoying more of the process and the build. [01:40:38] You know, there's always going to be the next challenge and the next thing to do. [01:40:41] I think I would look back and say time goes pretty quick, even though, again, as you said, a little maybe on the younger side of the journey here on the career, but you can't go back. [01:40:53] And I think that's what I would look to myself or anyone starting at any age. [01:40:58] It doesn't matter. [01:40:59] A company like this is enjoy that process of all the struggles and kind of look through it as a, as kind of a fun, as a fun learning experience. [01:41:08] There's a lot of risk to it, but I think I would look back and say that to myself or, or give that advice to anyone going down this path. [01:41:17] That's good advice. [01:41:18] Definitely good advice. [01:41:19] Look, it's been a, it's been a pleasure. [01:41:21] You know, you and I met many years, a few years ago, actually, I was going to say many years ago. [01:41:25] It hasn't been that long, but at least I don't think it has. [01:41:27] Maybe it has. [01:41:28] But, you know, it's great to see you succeeding and your company sort of succeeding and growing. [01:41:35] You're in a great space doing very positive things during a much needed time with, with healthcare. [01:41:43] So I wish you continued success, which I know you will continue to do so, especially as you expand into those different parts of the world. [01:41:52] So that's exciting times for you and, and, and your, and your guys. [01:41:57] So send some, some regards to the team. [01:42:00] Everybody. [01:42:01] Thank you all for taking the time out of your busy schedule to join us this evening. [01:42:06] We look forward to catching up with you next week. [01:42:09] Don't be late. [01:42:10] See you all. [01:42:11] Cheers. [01:42:12] Thanks again. [01:42:13] Cheers. [01:42:14] Bye everybody. [01:42:16] Bye everybody. [01:42:17] Have a good evening. [01:42:18] Take care. [01:42:19] Have a great night.
